@cchrisyy__ Are you using motion tile on your clips? I recently learned that you shouldn't put a high value on it's width and height because it makes the render absurdly long, so if you do - make sure to put the values accordingly to your clips, no more than you need :) Also remember to purge your cache every few edits, it will make your AE laggy af if it's full
i have ae 2024 and i use a mac, the biggest struggle i have is trying to find plugins that are compatible for my version of ae, i always thought it was my mac that was always rejecting every plugin i tried downloading but i've tried every way to fix it and i still haven't been able to find a solution :"((

It happened to me less than a week ago, but I'm on Windows not MacOS. The only thing I did was uninstall my AE and searching for another version on another site. Remember to save all your preset and projects in an external folder before uninstalling it, just to be sure you don't loose anything that you already created in the past

It depends on your computer, if it's good enough and can handle minimal requirements for AE, then use the newest version, because good computers might work actually worse on the older versions of AE. But if you're using a bad one, then I'd stick to 2020.
i have 2024 and idk if i should go back to 2020 bc twixtor is slow as helll and shakes keep crashing but is that just my pc being bad or ae 2024 being sucky
