who are the 67 heartless gronks who disliked this? Kareem is so amazing, I got to know him over the past couple of days and he's so down to Earth. I love his passion in this speech. This guy needs more recognition, absolutely amazing.
I completely agree with Lowkey. I'm non-religious living in a predominantly Muslim community. I don't really see why they are demonised. I've had nothing but respect from them and have nothing but respect for them. It's upsetting for me to hear the way they talk about them. The fact that they are demonised in the media causes people to be dubious about talking to them. The vibes you get from them are probably caused by the ones you give. Racial and Religious segregation is not good news, people!
I'm not a big fan of rap music but I like, respect, admire the nerve of this kid who stands up for what he believes in. He has a great voice and awesome sound to go with his lyrics. Shame! What we need is more young bold folk like him.
i Did'nt know him since few minutes ago just saw his song called "Long Live Palestine" and im already fan of this guy he speaks for opressed people Now I say LonG LIVE LOWKEY!!!
When katrina hit mississippi, and people had no electricity and no gasoline for almost a month, people suddenly became more concerned about their neighbors, they developed a sense of community cohesion that did not exist before. I would guess that hardships, both natural and sudden, reinforce the tendency in people to act in a moral fashion, because they need to.
all he ever does is spit the truth!! that's what we need more of in this world!! someone listen to him more and pay attention!! i respect Lowkey ALOT!!
I agree with everything he said. One problem is though is that this message needs to be spread outside of just the Muslim community. There are plenty of non-Muslims out there that feel this way and I am one of them. If the message is not spread outside of the Muslim community it with just create animosity inside of the Muslim community and misunderstanding outside of it.
@Qandahariprinze. It doesnt directly say music is forbidden, but from several"hadiths"(Sayings of the prophet PBUH) Information can be added up from different hadiths leading to enough information proving, in islam, music is forbidden. Unfortunately many many muslims listen to music.
We need more people......young people like him to come forward and open the eyes of other young people to see what is really happening in the world today! VERY WELL SAID ONE LIFE IS TOO MANY!!!
If you say so. It's just that I've never met anyone who is racist toward them. I lived with Filipinos for a year, and I don't know what people could dislike about them. They are generally such nice people.
@moodini99 According to the United Nations conventions, there is no distinction between the term racial discrimination and ethnicity discrimination.[Wikipedia] Nationality and religion are often understood as bing part of a persons ethical heritage. Other than that, you should also take note of the fact that the term is more broadly used in modern language. Having said that, Lowkey is half Iraqi half English and has mentioned in several speeches that he believes in evolution.
@TopTiikz I'm not talking about what he's actually speaking about in his speech. The point im actually making is that I have never personally heard or seen this video before so when i'm clicking on to watch it for the first time theres someone
@ 1:15 Political maps can be redrawn with revolution or war ~ hopefully, the next time that Africa or the middle east has such a redrawing, it will be those living in the affected regions that choose where on the map the lines go.
Hear hear. I may not be Muslim but I know sense when I hear it and there is a troublesome shortage of people talking sense in the media over the last....EVER.
I myself am not a Muslim, I am an agnostic, but I cannot stand it when people discriminate over peoples personal choices or their race, every person is born equal and will die equal. And to people saying the Muslim religion insights violence, I would advise you actually get a book and read it yourself rather than just believing mindlessly.
@moodini99 Maulana Karenga argued that racism constituted the destruction of culture, language, religion and human possibility, and that the effects of racism were "the morally monstrous destruction of human possibility involved redefining African humanity to the world, poisoning past, present and future relations with others who only know us through this stereotyping and thus damaging the truly human relations among peoples."
@wertymnbv You've taken that out of context... "9:5-6 But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah"
It's all well saying these things and throwing general nice sounding, crowd pleasing statements in the air, action is required 'This microphone has a history' LOOOL
Most people in the UK were against the Iraq war. It's true that sections of the media give Muslims a bad press. But Catholics, atheists also get bad press. The pope compared atheists like myself to Hitler when in the UK. People have a right to their opinions whether you like them or not and that includes criticising Islam. People have a right to freedom of speech here. Muslims have more freedom here than anywhere in the world including the freedom to pick their religion without being killed.
@e15ijg Unfortunately there are Christians being discriminated in Pakistan and I due to my background am really ashamed of so and promise that as a Muslim I will keep raising my voice against it in my community. But can assure you from my own experience in relief efforts over the years, there has been no discrimination at the time of aid for them.
@greyreview Yeah, Gaza would have been surrounded by high fences, it's population blockaded and denied the basics and subjected to regular massive ariel bombardment leading to the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians whilst the world looked on... Oh wait ....
@jttesh Flags. Nationalism has been replaced by imperialism, (or, instead of simply identifying ourselves by our country, we go a step further: we subordinate people of other nationalities, ethnicities, races, religions etc...) I guess, is what he's saying. Quite possibly. Although that's just what I'm reading into it.
@sykopath66190 The March 2004 bombings in Madrid killed 1991 & wounded 2050. The July 2005 London bombings killed 52 & injured 700. Both were credited to Islamic terror. Russia's 2 biggest terror attacks come from Muslim groups. In the Nord-Ost incident, 850 were held hostage - 129 were killed. In the Belsan school hostage crisis, 1200 were taken hostage. 500 died including 186 children.
Lol I love it when people try to give credit for inventions and innovations to a religion. Does this mean calculus was invented by Christianity or that Judaism is responsible for the theory of relativity? Can I claim the Christianity created the airplane, the automobile, antibiotics, paper towels or any other of the myriad of innovations that predominately Christian countries are responsible for?
Why are people getting pissed off with this? the man is speaking the truth and he is doing it well. He is backing a cause he believes in, let him do it. I'm white and I agree with most of the stuff he is saying, he's got a right to say it so let it be.
Sunnah means habits. In Islam it refers to the habits and actions of Muhammed. In order to learn these habits Muslims read the Hadith ( sayings and practices of Muhammed) and the Sira (Muhammed's biography compiled by Ishaaq.) This is where most concepts of Sharia come from. In Bukhairi for instance Muhammed makes a declaration that apostasy is punishable by death. Likewise the hadith and Sira also justify pedophilia with accounts of how Muhammed came to marry your namesake
@mikerowphone you know there is a large amount of controversy about the meaning of that! so why dont you use your head. does good usually come from lying.... no does good come from seperating two raices....no and just because pictures in a book havn't changed doesn't mean the meaning behind the picture hasn't!!
@prizefighter100 soldiers fighting soldiers is one thing.....flying a plane into an office building, or bombing a train and unsuspectingly killing innocent people on their way to work is unjustifiable...and if u think it is justifiable, i feel bad for you.
woow that was amazzing.... u see these kind off ppl should speak out to the world more or even to a group of community that would help.... but his speech wat wikd is all true... peace man god bless u
Matthew 10: 34-36 "Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword. For I have come to set a man 'against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's enemies will be those of his household."

I do very much agree with what he says, about " dehumanising", indeed Muslims nowadays are deshumanized, it's the right word.
Look man! every country has their time, its just the way it is, you cant change that

@Dek1G40 . Just to make sure no-one is mislead by your comment. Them 4 'books; do not relate to 'All' religions. There are many other religions too.
Microphones are a fascinating subject to study in history.
