    The camera is on the wrong Dozer : the good Dozer is in the background !!👍

    I have to agree with Thomas, you have the camera on the wrong Dozer the proper and better one is in the background working harder.

    Must be pushing 70 ton at a time ! I think viewers are not grasping just how big this machine is .

    Presumably there creating a big flat pad that will be drilled with explosives to mine the valuable material underneath?

      No, as soon as they have pushed off the loose material they will rip some more and then push again

    Some context would be nice. Wtf are they even doing? The description says quarry. Quarry for what? Lava rock? They got plenty of that.... which they are pushing off the edge of a cliff.

      @@dhewitt2514 just volume of material which is pushed per one drive and how much time it tooks. All seems to be loose gravel and rocks. Here in Fin similar type quarry they feed material directly to jaw crusher with wheel loader

      @jdkgcp 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dhewitt2514 He's wondering the same thing I am.... context is always important. They are literally pushing rocks off a cliff. Why? There's an expression "context is king". This video fails to deliver that.

    From all the sounds coming from the undercarriage, I can tell this operator and company do not believe in maintaining their equipment very well.

    • @rossgray3070
      @rossgray3070 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nothing to do with lack of maintenance, its because of dry conditions and steel on steel between the rollers and the track chain twisting in the extreme conditions they are working in. Any track machine will squeak like that in dry conditions, I have been operating machines for over 50 yrs and the noise there is common in those conditions.

    • @jifi-0178
      @jifi-0178 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rossgray3070 No thanks for your resume. It is very possible to do. Plenty of recorded videos available of others operating in stone and gravel mix, sand, dust, mud, etc. and the tracks are not making such a racket. Any tracks are not quiet, but they don't need to grind in such a way as seen in the vid. A little grease goes a long way when applied properly and regularly. Mechanics doing it for 50 years will tell you that.

    • @rossgray3070
      @rossgray3070 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@jifi-0178 Tell me then how do you grease tracks and where do you grease them. I have been operating dozers for over 50 yrs now. All dozer tracks are sealed and lubricated these days so cannot be greased, that is just normal sounds from working in extreme conditions.

    • @marianoonan7257
      @marianoonan7257 ปีที่แล้ว

      most track chains that i know of are not greasable , the track pins are sealed through the links and bushings , what are lubricated are the top and bottom rollers final drives and the idler , these dozers are on hard rock its dry hard going so the tracks will make excessive noise on account of hard dry going , the last man working here a few million years ago had a great compactor so its tough going for these dozers to loosen the ballast rock , bye bye 0178
