The sad reality is in the star trek universe living in peace wasnt truly realistic for anyone until a species or group conquered or had a mutual agreement with the majority of the universe. The founders distrust of solids is 100% justified and the Borg showing up would of been more proof they were right.Seven of nine said the borg and the dominion fought before. Plus I find it interesting that even among many alien species that changelings are viewed as more of an alien and a freak than some solid with 3 heads or something. The founders were in a bad situation the same as any alien species that just wanted peace.Sooner or later someone would show up to take over your planet/people or to destroy or enslave you. So your options are #1.Peace/defense and wait for them to come because they will come and you will probably lose. #2.Conquer everything either by peaceful negotiation or military conquest. The irony is that sooner or later the borg or 8472 or who knows what would probably easily defeat the dominion anyway. The difference being that the founders can say "at least we tried" Both of them are not very good options because neither is realistic to save your people.I always did wonder what the borg would do with the founders. I remember this one guy says to me the Borg dont clone because it doesnt improve their species and I said that is a lie.If they cloned a random ship and filled it with a whole crew of cloned drones and sent it in a new direction of the galaxy they had never been to before it would only increase the odds of improving the borg when the clones assimilated anything they had not assimilated yet.
The changelings joining the Federation would have been a solution, since the Federation protects its members from dangers, no matter what kind of species they are, and at that point in time it's very powerful. However, when they met the changelings already were too distrustful to accept any alliance they didn't control.
@@anlumo1 That is an outright lie.Not only would the Borg of easily beat the Federation but so would of the dominion if it wasnt the plot armor of the prophets. Had the Borg copied the dominion cloning strategy it would have made everything they were doing easier. In the end the point is still true there could or even would always be an alien that would conquer or enslave you no matter what you do. The Q could have done that to all 3 combined.Who is to say how many more.
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants The Borg got beaten by a single Federation ship after it was stranded for multiple years without resupply. Of course the Q could have done anything, but that's not their goal. They usually don't interfere with these matters (and also don't care), unless one of them goes rogue again.
@@anlumo1 Are you referring to Voyager? Are you like a bad lawyer? That would be like saying a 3rd world country right now with a joke of an army getting advanced technology and being able to beat any army in the world with it now. That would literally be like aliens landing in a really poor country and giving them an indestructible ship or something with super weapons. No human army would have a defense for that. It still goes back to my point that there is always an alien that can kill or enslave you and will.
When the “ape” picture of the Vorta popped up I lost it, lulllz!
2:47 The jaffa must really hate changelings
😂
omg the ape had me in tears
0:58 "of course they did. That's what gods do."
Now THATS a hard one to argue. :/
what is a god if you dont have believers/or followers?

Ironically life in the Dominion actually doesn't seem that bad, as long as you follow the rules and meet production quotas.
2:32 that's incredibly cursed 😆
@0:20 - He speaks about the solids as if he was not a solid himself.
the illustration of his story xD
But still needs more breen subtitles xD
I cant stop laughing at this....🤣👍
When did sg1 characters travel into startrek universe, wish people would keep there story scenes straight
2:34 😂

I like this episode but it always feels like they are wasting time on the Runabout. They are talking about nuts and berries and not tactical plans.
Gghhhhhhh
