This helped me save a Mamba Elite which I've had for 3 years. Whenever I scrolled, it was a 50/50 chance for it to scroll the opposite way. I brushed the inside of the wheel and now it works perfectly 99% of the time. There's still that 1% which kinda bugs me, but I'm not sure if I can do more than this for it.
Anyway, your step by step guidance was extremely helpful. Thank you!

Looking at this video because my scroll wheel is having the same problem, did you end up taping the pads back on the bottom of the mouse and do you notice any drag or scratching against your mousepad?

@@tg243 I've used the same pads and they're fine for now, but I'll look for replacement ones.

My Mamba Elite is having the same issue! I have a cat, so I'm 90% sure it's the tumbleweed of cat hair I can see lodged in there. I want to do a full teardown and deep clean, but I'm afraid of the pads not going back on as smoothly...

@@QarluiThe inside of the wheel. It has ridges which can trap dust, hair etc. I ended up getting a new mouse since then. It's a bad design if a mouse is so sensitive to any speck of dust.
I'd dip the wheel in isopropyl or contact cleaner to make sure there's no dirt left on it.

MUCHAS GRACIAS! necesitaba ver la orden de colores de conexión de los cables de alimentación , aunque me faltaba un cable de los negros, creo que son los alambres sueltos que vienen sin aislante ... saludos y mucha suerte

Thanks so much. This video helped me save mine as well. One of the wires attached to the side of the box on the mouse wheel broke somehow, which resulted in my wheel not working. I had to resolder it and it works perfectly fine again.

I'm not sure if you monitor this any longer. But my DPI keeps setting it's self to 800-DPI. I've done all the cleaning I can do from the outside, it doesn't fall like a button issue, soI'm going to open it up and see if there is something causing continuous contact, hoping it's not the DPI module 😞
My question is - what spray do you use to assist breaking down the adhesive of the original tape - I have the tape to replace, but would love to know the spray you use...

Step 1.... Remove the rubber pads at the bottom with goo gone.... lol
I can do this easily.... But My motivation is already gone haha.
Right now my left mouse button sometimes doubles clicks... I just wanna get some 99% rubbing alcohol into the switch to clean it... But.... It's not doing it enough or annoying me enough to bother right now lol
    Good helpful video tho!

worse mouse ever, save yourself pains and money , get anything else, i mean anything else will be better, software is like virus, lots of your net and memory , plus it will change your settings unexpected and you will find yourself deleting it and refreshing it often, honestly it sucks.,oh did I mentioned that software is like a virus? sucking your net and memory, if you know a good gaming mouse please share, I have been punished enough in this pandemic for buying this product.,LOL , look for how to fix the sensor, hahaha rest my case

I was given it used, so who knows exactly how old / well worn it is, but I've been using it for about.. two years now? And I've never had any issues beyond some double clicking. The program hasn't affected the laptop I use it on either, every now and then I just need to give it permissions for it to calibrate to my mouse pad properly

@@xpandorasboxx consider yourself lucky, honestly it sucks.Celsharp, its actually a virus that comes in the software, look it up.
