If you look at this from the outside, and if we assume that average Joe regards Shadow as the "Demon Shadow", then by all accounts, the Saint was corrupted completely and thoroughly. Victoria was a kind caring person to her followers and is virtuous and forgiving. 559 lives a much more sinful life style. 559 is ruthless, even to her own allies, and she is lustful, wishing to be her God's lover if she can help it.
To be fair her kindness only really extends to the non-possessed, if you are indeed possessed then you'll get slaughtered by her and the templar knights like animals.

When the ones she had fought against for so long became her salvation after the world she knew betrayed and stole everything from her, no doubt she would devote her life to her savior. You can say all you want about her zealotry but what do you expect when a nun who was throne away from the religion she was raised in after being mentally broken and stripped of everything only for the supposed lord of the cult she was trained to fight against saves her and gives her a new purpose. The timid nun in white turned to a fanatic nun in black.
I wish they covered this in the anime. We get a very brief scene of when Cid found Alpha, then a very very brief scene of the young initial Shadow Garden, then all of the sudden, he has over 600 waifus trying to enact his will, without his knowing or understanding.

Victoria after joining shadow garden: wants nothing to do with the path of light and is extremely loyal to the path of darkness.
And instead of being an enemy to shadow garden like when she was when she was a priestess, she sees shadow garden as a family that forgave her and welcomed her and she shows desire to serve them and especially serve shadow himself

Casually stroll in during her darkest hour, say a bunch of cheesy eminency lines, cure her possession, and proceed to accidentally shatter her worldview, claim her heart and become her God.
He was originally researching ways to improve his own magic capacity but was hesitant to just test it on himself, when he came across the possession-mutated Alpha and ran his tests on her instead. As he figured he couldn't really break someone who was already that heavily messed up physically. He more or less succeeded but it also wound up curing her. Everyone else with their possession symptoms directly cured by Shadow probably got augmented to some extent in the process.
@natchu96 They are indeed augmented. Possession is actually magic overload, when the body can't handle the magic power and ends up deforming out of control.
There's two known ways to fix it. The most simple and straightforward is to drain the excess of magic. The other is to modify the body so it can handle higher levels of magic. But this is an absurdly complex and delicate procedure that nobody has been able to do before.
Shadow being Shadow, managed not only to succeed but to perfect the process (also enhanced his own body even though he never got possessed). That's one of the main reasons why the 7 shades, Victoria and Rose are so powerful, since they got treated by Shadow himself.
The rest of the numbers were cured by the shades, who learned from him, but can't do it to such a perfect degree.

Im still trying to understand why her transformation is so extreme. They even gave her a new voice actress & is she even still an elf? Mystery upon mystery with her.
she's still an elf, her hair color changed due to the side effect of the drugs. Her personality is a bit broken due to the drugs as well since it's for brainwashing purposes (which might affect the brain badly).

She's talking about the Goddess Beatrix, a deity. Not to be confused with the War Goddess Beatrix, an elf swordswoman. The latter is named after the former.
Except the eye colour, everything else is too big a difference
