First, thank you for 2020 Top 10. From your list I have only The Undersea. It is now by far my favorite soap in my humble collection. It seems we have similar "scent noses" so I really value the scent notes you share in your videos and they will serve as a guide for my future purchases.

Great video! I’ve said in the past that most all the soaps are so good now that I buy them based on scent. I’m very happy with the Zaharoff I bought based on your suggestion. As soon as I smelled it, I could tell it was done by a pro and not someone mixing shit in their basement. BTW, Doug has a great nose. Spend over an hour at their booth smelling all of their stuff at the shows. Merry Christmas!🎄
Hi Chris @IAMCDB I tried the Honest Abe shaving soap today. Smells great! I didn't have the matching after shave so I used Fine Italian Citrus to keep with the orange theme. Thanks!
It's actually been a looong time since I've bought a new soap, but I was looking for some aftershave to compliment some of the soaps I already have and ran across Triumph, Dunshire, and Sandpiper from Stirling. I picked up all 3 in Soap, Splash, and Lotion/Balm, and I'll probably pick up the frags, too. Triumph is definitely one of my top 5 scents.

Now that youve rated it #1, cant wait to purchase it. I was on the fence about it, thought it was more aquatic than citrusy. And i love me some citrus. As far as label, i happen to like it. Think Peter did nice job, its abstract, looks like a piece of art to me. Anyway, long live America! Bless our country God. I know ur gonna make 2021 extra special.
If you are judging purely by scent and not by performance, you gotta include one of the official Creed shaving soaps. Performance is iffy but dang, they use the real Creed frag formulations in the soaps and it smells crazy good. Green Irish Tweed shaving soap for the scent win!
How does everyone think about kaizen 2 coming out in 2021? Should I splurge for a few kaizen tubs and matching after shave, or wait for the imrpvoed version?
I'm glad I jumped on Boat Drinks as soon as I saw it released, a great scent. I also get a chocolaty scent note from it along with all the others. The Gentlemen's Nod Zaharoff soap and aftershave is one of my favorite scents of all time. I will be asking for a bottle of the EDP for Christmas 🎄 🙂 Have a good trip! Steve

Excellent video, Chris! The only one I tried was Gentleman's Nod Zaharoff. Like I mentioned before, I was originally not impressed because I hardly picked up the scent with my sinusitus. Today, I smelled it again, and got a nice powdery/cologne scent, but I still would not even call it medium strength. The quality of the soap was great, but I had to work a little hardet to lather this soap. The aftershave was also disappointing because it really just snelled like alcohol so there wasn't any sillage for me. Unfortunately, I have only used these items, maybe 3x since I bought it months ago. I guess if I use it more often, maybe the scent will be more vibrant. If it doesn't then I will not repurchase. @@IAMCDB I bought it from Maggard's and it is quite possible that I got a bad puck and aftershave because if the scent was strong, then I would be able to pick it up better. Stirling Bay Rum is very strong and had no problem picking up the scent so if GN Zaharoff had a stout scent as you suggested, then I should have picked up the scent with ease. As it is, I had to practically have my nose to touch the soap to get a faint smell.
I do not. Typically by the time I'm finished shaving I don't smell the soap. Keep in mind I'm doing a rinse, using alum, witch hazel, and then an aftershave. I typically smell the aftershave but not the soap.

I'd say go for BDLM as soon as it's available and Morning Hike as time permits. Both are excellent. The others folks will have to wait for.

Hi Chris. I hope you enjoy The Undersea. Amaretto is an excellent Cherry/Almond/Marzipan type scent. It's like cella but considerably better IMO.
I like it top shaving soap etc scent, I need for example after shave lotion etc Barbus, Dermacol etc thank you good job Man

Thanks Joe. I'm sorry you haven't enjoyed the Zarharoff as much as I have. I've found it to be quite stout and the aftershave lasts all day for me:)

@@JT-nf9tk Keep in mind we don't all perceive scents the same way. What I pick up very strongly you might not be able to and vice versa.

I haven't tried the FLS offering but I had the Graveyard and gave it away. It wasn't bad but it wasn't my type of scent.

The label is certainly not my cup of tea. The scent is fantastic.
