    Can I install to mains thro fan isolator pulling switch only. I don’t want light switch to control on/off the fan.

    What if you dont want to wire it into a light? mine is going in my workshop to extract gasses, But I would rather just by pass the light connection

      Hi if you fan has a timer, it is still live, neutral and switched live.

    Thanks for the video, but what is the 4th connection?
    My fan is 2 speed with timef but connected like that is low speed and turns off instantly

      @@xXM3tall1c4Xx no not yet, but I think you have to bridge an extra wire across for timer mode and the other slot is fir higher speed,
      Will have to play around and test it. Cheers

      If your fan has two speeds then you connect the LIVE wire (brown) to the L1 (low speed) or L2 (high speed).

      You can. but it wont work, i know because i did it. You need to get the isolator switch (which has it's own power supply run through, ie lighting circuit) to connect to LT and the tail from that switch, to L1 or L2 tell the motor to spin. the LT is just like the original Live, except of course it is switched. The manual you get with it specifically tells you NOT to connect mains live to L1 or L2, only from the isolator switch. which is a pain but i'm sure theres a way to bypass it and have the powers required in-line.

      well that was the E100T but they do sell one with a mains cord already attached for £50.00 ish
