Ma786sai Dua lovely. Absolutely other-worldly ethereal timeless beauty. I drive a 1982 Mark 1 Spirit. No other marque no Matter how hallowed might hold a candle before a Rolls-Royce.
Yes, Silver Sand is a great colour for the stylish Corniche, especially with the classic black leather with white piping interior. The rubber faced schock-absorbing chrome bumpers were introduced in 1977, not just for the Corniche, but also its Silver Shadow II and Bentley T2 siblings.
Thank you! It is a lovely car indeed and a true time warp. The owner is keeping it original and, who knows, this Corniche might return to the US :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
That’s one way of putting it :) The current owner sourced the Corniche in California. Yet, it has also resided in Texas and Pennsylvania. It’s a case of careful owners preserving and maintaining their pride and joy regardless of cost. Rare even in this category. A privilege to work with. Thanks for watching!
This Spirit of Ecstasy deflects in an accident. This was a legal requirement in the US from 1968 and in the EU from 1974. Plenty of material available on this obviously but recommend this ver well-written work by a Rolls-Royce owners club on the topic with loads of history and great pictures: rroc.org.au/wiki/images/3/37/SpiritOfEcstasyBooklet.pdf I learned about this as a kid in the beginning of the eighties and was always fascinated with it. In later years, the system has become more advanced and the driver can now retract the mascot at will.
Mr Rice is correct: the mascot does not “disappear into the grille” as you stated in your narrative. It is, however, spring-loaded as per FSS regulations.
Having driven a Corniche, can honestly say, it is a pleasure to experience!
It is indeed a true pleasure to pilot a Corniche! Brings you back to an era long gone. Thank you for watching and commenting.

It truly is an epitome of style and luxury!
What a GORGEOUS car….

This is the most gorgeous car ever…
It is lovely indeed!
Hideous black rubber bumpers but a fantastic colour and all round beautiful motor car.

Stunning car. European spec bumpers would improve it considerably. Mascots did not retract on a Corniche until the series V cars.I love it.

I look forward to when you get a bentley continental convertible of the same calibre.
I'd love to! A friend of mine has a lovely Continental Coupé. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Insane condition. It must've came from a hot part of US.

That Spirit of Ecstasy does NOT disappear into the grill when struck. This is an incorrect statement.
