You should've put the attack and release of the softube vca comp on normal, output drive should also be on normal.. Among other things..
Well yeah, I was do it on the fly because that clip it’s from the review of VCA softube, but still the tone it’s different, when I disengaged the punch and the HF filter starter to sound closer. So maybe I’ll do a proper video eventually, thank you for the observation bro.

the uad version seems muddier then Softube. We can say that this is not a scientific comparison, but we can understand the tone of the two compressors
True this is not a scientific comparison, I’m not that smart, I record and mix records that’s it but I can make a digger comparison for sure because that’s a clip for the VCA review so I just did it on the fly, also idk in my control room I felt the UAD had more attack so less muddier but thank you for the comment bro

The only Plugins worth the high price from UAD are Sound City and Pultec. (Sound City is very unique and their Pultecs really are good). Everything thing else is being done equally if not better from companies like Arturia, Pulsar, Softube, etc. Two things made me turn away from UAD: 1) Needing to be online to use the plugins that I paid for? Ridiculous. 2) They slammed my computer with over 650 demos. Repulsive to me. I'm done with them. LOVE Softube.
