Been to the island a few times and loved it. Love the people, their culture, the food and the beautiful scenery of the island. And, yes, they always clap when the plane lands, showing their appreciation of landing safely. I admire that.

Gorgeous video. To me it is always exciting to land in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The deep blues of the ocean and the sky, the green of the countryside and the grey and white of the buildings, it is a marvelous sight. At night becomes magical. I have traveled a lot but few landings are as spectacular as the ones in San Juan, no matter the hour, the direction the plane is coming or the time of the year. To me it is specially heartwarming because this beautiful and amazing place is the one I proudly call home. La isla del encanto. Thanks for sharing the video. 👍😍🇵🇷

Arturo you are sooo fortunate to call Puerto Rico home. I want to ask you if there is work out there that pays at least enough for someone to be able to live there. I don't necessarily have any special skills, but I do speak both Spanish and English fluently. I want to move there so desperately, but the finances are always the concern. I always research to see if anyone out there could use a husband and wife team as either a couple of farm hands or maybe as help to run a bed and breakfast or something along those lines, in exchange for a place to live and pay. I keep looking, but so far, nada. My Mom was born and raised in Peñuelas, P.R. and I love that town very much. Let me know if you can about any info. Take care, God bless you...

That’s why they called this the American tropical island
As a kid I thought it was the norm to Clap and cheer when a plane landed... they only trips I ever taken where between Puerto Rico and the US Mainland, when I got older I realized, only Puerto Rican’s clap and cheer😂

There are more people that what to moved to the USA by a huge martian than any other country.
Loved the way the flight attendant set the record straight when a passenger yelled something along the lines of “best country”, referring to Puerto Rico. The flight attendant said “ part of the United States which IS the best country in the world”. I do agree that PR is not a country, meaning an independent nation, but at the same time there is no evidence to support that the US is the best country in the world either. So I guess both the flight attendant and the passenger were both wrong in that respect. Funny nevertheless.
