I switched all the internals to a black see-through Magic Clip body. It was a tight fit but it worked. I like how much lighter it is along with that strong motor. Taper blades are always a must!
I just checked back on our Wahl Senior video as I thought they came with the premium guards, I noticed you only got the standard guards with yours is that correct? You would think Wahl could at least add in some premium guards for the price, especially if they can do it here in the UK. Great video again though Ant, high quality. I absolutely love that transparent case, looks awesome. Also great choice on going with the Taper blade, I did exactly the same as I prefer it to the wedge blade. Keep up the excellent content dude, work is awesome 🙌
@@studioeducational Hello, I prefer the motion the taper blade allows during fading, it allows you to curve in a'C' motion as opposed to the fade or wedge blade that you use in a more straight up, vertical motion. Personally I find the taper blade easier to fade with, and thats why I change all my Wahl clippers to taper blades. Hope this helps 👍
@Rum Barber Only the UK version came with the premium guards , not sure why that is ... but I feel like that was wahl saying they appreciate you guys out ther too just like the engraving on the clipper . I absolutely love the taper blade anything above a .5 guard and up and that's my go to after taking Chris Bossios class the 1st time I made the switch and feel in love with the soft guidelines and smoother blends it puts out . Appreciate the kind words coming from someone who inspires me 👊🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Rum Barber that’s how Wahl gets you. They put the good guards with the home kits. Love the guards that come with the Elite Pros and Deluxe Chrome Pro kits. Clippers are worth much but the guards 👍🏽

At 6:04 I noticed with the lever open the left side of the moving blade is below the teeth of the still blade. Is it normal for it to be crooked like that? I ask because I have Seniors that do this out of the box.

I like using the wahl #1006 blade for .5 guard and up , I use my wahl magic clip with the original fade blade for anything from closed lever to open . The wahl #1006 sets softer guides making it easier to achieve smoother blends 👌🏼

I actually love the original stager tooth fade blade that comes on the cordless magic clip and I use that for anything from closed lever to open lever . All my clippers I use work together as a team and each clipper serves it's purpose . You'll see a difference between the 2 blades immediately I know people who love the taper blade and some who swear by the original fade blade at the end of the day I always say try it , you never know until you try it 👌🏼

If you had to chose one clipper to purchase what would you go for? I knows it's not that simple of an answer but I'm a student looking to upgrade what I have. I'm not rich by any means so I want to get something as versatile as possible. Currently looking at Babyliss FXrose, Wahl Senior, or the Andis Envy LI. I would love to have them all but see the way my bank account is set up 😂🤣. Any direction or guidance is much appreciated! Your videos are informative and great to follow!
I'd say babyliss is great but stay away from the 1st models out "gold & rose gold" look into the black , white or red one . Those are great for students cause the lever has notches to guide you on the lever through your fade . But wahl is a better price point and can always be trusted 💯 I've had issues with babyliss and none with wahl yet . I love the wahl metal magic clip , and the wahl cordless senior both great machines . It's preference tho in the end . I carry new Wahl machine's cheaper than anywhere else . @@mike8462 that's odd , maybe try moving your blades back some and not so zero gapped . If it still happens maybe you should switch back to the original blade and if that still happens I'd send them back to be fixed or they send you a new pair .

I run this blade on here for anything .5 and above , I use a fade blade for anything skin to .5 👌🏼
