So in the past 10 minutes, I've listened to Lucy's covers of Somewhere, Memory, Never Enough, and Reflection, so here is my honest appraisal of what I have heard so far. On TH-cam and even in the music charts there are many talented voices, however, it is rare to find an artist where each and every word sang is clearly understood, for me, not since the wonderful Karen Carpenter of the 1970s. There is a rich natural depth in Lucy's voice, that really came through with the songs Somewhere, Memory, and Reflection. With Never Enough, although beautifully sung, I think as her voice matures the cover will become more and more amazing. Lucy, you are a wonderful rare talent that I'd like to hear a lot more of, however, if you are wanting a career you will need to find your niche in a very tough industry i.e. just having a wonderful voice may not be enough to carve out a career. What individualism can you bring that separates you from other talents - even those who are nowhere near as talented? Perhaps that is something you can think about and work towards. My comments are there to encourage you, not hinder you. In the meantime thank you for the beautiful music you have created, I wish you all the success for the future.
