  • Just because I catch fish and make TH-cam fishing videos, that does not mean that the fish come easily. In this video you will see me work hard to find fish in order to produce a fishing video...

      Mate, some days you can do everything and get nothing, other days put in no effort and have a ball. You have had some rippers up near the weir lately. I have enjoyed seeing them when you manage to get out.
      Been having a ripper trout season myself. 3 trips, fish on all trips, 35 cm the smallest, 57 the biggest so far. And then a day of 6 about 40+s. Hoping to get out again later in the week for another session on the creek in a different place. hoping for a brown as they are all rainbows so far. I feel bad because of the ease of access and watching Robbie put in so much effort is making me feel guilty. I get out of my car, walk 20 metres to the water and cast. Hardest thing is dodging wombat holes on the creek as I wander from hole to hole.
      Great to see ya. Hope the missuss is doing well mate. :)

      Unwritten Rule of Fishing Number 1 - When you take someone to place you have talked up and fished without fail for years, you will NEVER catch fish. no matter how hard you try. The day before, the day after, ever the same day, you will catch fish but never with company.
      Unwritten Rule 2 - Associated to the totem fish, rule 2 dictates that if you miss a strike within 2 minutes of arriving to the spot with your chosen company, you will never catch a fish there with them. Move along now.

      @robbiefishing  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Thanks so much mate. I never mention where I am fishing in these small waterways. They're not stocked and couldn't sustain too much pressure.
      The best thing to do is just get out there and explore mate. Try different spots and discover new places.
      Thanks for your great support. 👍👍

    • @AndrewFishman
      @AndrewFishman 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The best thing you can do is to look not at any particular spot, but at the features of those places. What is the water like? How do the flows act? Where are the undercut banks, overhanging rocks and trees? Watch where Robbie or others you watch put their lures, and ask yourself "Why there?" Then watch closely the little things in retrieve styles. Things that may not be conscious. Like seeing a fish and pausing the lure for just a moment as the fish orientates, then twitching and striking just right to get the result. These things we do are from experience and can be learned, but we don't often realise what we are doing we are just doing it through long years of habit and practice. If you watch closely, these are the things that will really pick your game up. Ask "Why there? What retrieve style/speed is he using? What little things is he doing like rod jiggles and lifts?Where did that fish come from to hit the lure? What pools does Robbie hit hard, which does he pass by and what is the difference between them?"
      In short, learn HOW to fish, not WHERE to fish. Where to fish on any river is more valuable than having a couple of honey holes and not knowing why they fish well.
