You start laying your hose out at the far corner of the field and do your longest pass first, so I’m this case diagonally corner to corner and working making your passes shorter, once one half is done pull half again over center and stretch out again. Got to keep the hose from rolling and kinking. It’s complex but fast. I have pumped at a 5,000 cow dairy where we had over 6 miles of hose layed out!
Wow this DLC is huge! It adds so many cool aspects to the game. Unfortanley most is end-game type of stuff. Would be a shame to not see these after this series ends, as you will most likely not have the money for a while on the other series. Therefore please keept this series going twice a week so we can see this DLC implemented in a map!!!
Its strange that the devs spend time developing animations and systems regarding the hose and such. But they wont apply any of it to this water pump. You just place it close to a water source and the water magically gets teleported to your trailer instead of applying these animations and systems to it so that you have to bring a hose down to the very water source in order to pump. It's supposed to be a simulator so, that seems realistic or am i wrong?
I feel like that will come later. For now they have succesfully implemented all the systems to make it playable, but I am sure they will update and change some things.
Just a quick tip dagg the way we do it in real life is you feel the hose out from the closest corner to the furthest corner diagonally then work one side till its done and then cross over the pipe with the implements lifted ovcourse todo the other side of the field hope that makes it easier for you saves you moving the pipe all the time
I’m still wanting a breakdowns mod. Like mid harvest a header breaks you need to drive the header to the shop or your shop van to the header and fix it. That would be cool.
Wow what a marathon. I've just watched the last 60'ish episodes in 4 or 5 days. Love the series and feel a bit sad its nearing its end but I understand that you want to do some other maps. This sure have been a long runner :) Great work :)
Ran dragline systems for 10yrs. Setup on the longest pull corner to corner usually. That way your runs get shorter every time and you don't turn it into a string of sausages
It's actually more efficient to spread slurry this way than with a tractor and tanker it keeps diesel costs down because your not going to fill a tanker up so you don't have to leave the field plus it leave it that cows can still graze it unlike with a splash plate all the grass gets covered so cows don't want to graze but with a umbilical system it just leaves a little line of slurry down the field so cows can simply just eat what's not covered
This mod is everything I have been asking for since the Manure Systems mod was released. This looks really awesome!! I love the interaction with equipment and objects, makes it more realistic for me (Rocky Fields, Manure Systems, Manual Attach) gives it more of a realism feel. I will absolutely be getting this mod, thank you so much for the showcase. As always, good stuff mate
Where I live in the south of the netherlands they use this method alot. Slurry is moved by trucks and they pump it through the hose. I'm Guessing they get the manure from whole of the country.
Yes, I had the same nostalgic feeling. That was an amazing system, but this is a big improvement if you ask me. It will take some more time to figure out, though.
I am curious with the pump having hoses and connection points why you didn't need to attach it to the slurry tank and have the hose going into the water for it to transfer the water.
I would have liked to see what happens if you goe over your own hose, to know if it does something. It's not a bad dlc, but the fact the need to set it all up, dragging the slurry container, then take the hose out and have another tractor running the pump, really make it a busy job in comparison to just use a tanker. If the game took soil compaction into account, it would be lovely to have it, but now, it looks like a test feature for the next game.
Hello Daggerwin, For the next video, you should use the little green electric tractor for the little water pump?. Only a suggestion. Love the videos :)
@@JustMyFish I use the dlc equipment allot now I wouldn’t say complete waste I use the digester and the big Volvo loader i really like the Volvo loader I have not messed around with the hoses yet but soon
I definitely understand how this can be handy... like you said on the big field you did in parts. I can see how that would be fun and interesting to do however....does any of it connect directly into the in game slurry storage? Also the water pump looked a little weird just by setting a piece of equipment by the river without anything attached to draw water and transfer to tank.. and again adding slurry just like the in game tankers. is that something that is available? I know a lot of work has went into this and it does look very nice and done very good. little glitchy but that be fixed soon. i am sure more to come with this and I do like the addition of it for emersion. I would like to see more. thanks a lot for the demo and as always another great video.
well you dont drive with the hose haha , you will tear it apart and i have seen bad injure when you drive with it connected like you need to move a little bit and someone is standing at wrong spot.
Can u please find someway to use this dlc in survival roleplay? I think it would be outstanding, shouldn't be too hard to afford now u have the potato production setup :)
So can you link buildings directly together, say the slurry outlet on the cow barn to a slurry storage container or even a fertilizer manufacturing plant?
Could lead to crop irrigation as an added feature for FS2? the next edition? Just info, Due to the drought in UK some river water extraction licenses have been suspended until flow capacity increases.
has anybody tried using the pump/hoses to supply the greenhouse? would be a good quality of life improvement if you dont have to drive back and forth between the lake several times
If you ever use the BGA for fertilizer, try using woodchips as an alternative to manure. the write up I looked at mentioned that you could use woodchips as an additional source of fertilizer
Add more gen Sets that use the Methane. $$$$ income. No need for the Burner. Did you by chance watch Farmer Klein's 2 Videos of this new DLC ? Pretty impressive set-up to say the least.. Use different colored Hose so you can find the ends in the tall grass/Weeds. LOL You can park the tank near the Field and put the Water pump along side of it. It will pump water anywhere on the Farm. I think this is the only DLC worth of purchase because it adds to the gameplay. The other DLC's aren't worth it since they only adds new vehicles which you can get for free from the modhub.
I’m so disappointed. I bought the platinum version + a few other packs on Xbox 1 (tbf mine is an old console maybe 2015-2016 ish) but I can’t access them in game! I thought the exact same thing. I was really hoping he would have to connect the pump to the tank and then bring another hose down to the river.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can connect the hose directly to the fill point on the cow shed so you don't need a tank

Great vid!

It would be interesting to see how a worker performs with the spreader therefore in single player you could just concentrate on keeping the tank full
No idea, but the helper should be capable of keeping the tank full, I think.
