My favorite part of this whole video is how as soon as that guy mentioned being nervous about dropping into the elevator shaft, everyone was like "hey no pressure man" because there's a lot of pressure with all those people staring at you and if you've been thinking about this one run all season, you know the best time for a run like that is on fresh snow. True friends will say "I know you've got the skills but if you're nervous and you don't want to, that's fine too".
And thanks for wearing helmets. There are too many avoidable head injuries, and I wish pros would regule helmets because so many kids watch the pros and think they don't need a helmet.
The best pow days are the ones where you come home safe so you can hit the slopes the next day👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
In my younger days days like this were to cherished. It was an easy 20 drive up the canyon fun the home, $20 for the chairs, and we were skiing at the 'Bird. We could see the upper tram towers from the kitchen window. Good going guys!

Dude. The ONLY thing I can tell you. Is GET E-V-E-R-Y Single moment of enjoyment you can. You will cherish these memories long into your later years. THIS has taken me RIGHT BACK to my time as a LIFTY there myself. '07-'09 Best fekking job I EVER HAD!!! I'd kill to be able to get back there someday. Spent MANY a day at P-Dog(Peruvian),Wilber, Mid-Gad and Gadzoom!! Seen many major snowdays with the mazes CHOCK FULL of fresh faces just like yours!! Even got to spend the night once in the Peruvian Bottom shack. Slept right there on that couch(if it even there still) For a MAJOR Storm over night...they had to come dig me out in the AM!! The energy you and your friends are bringing....trust me...we feel it. Having an entire maze with ALL eyes on you as you drop the rope and load first chair!! THANK YOU for this amazing trip back in time...And if you learn of anyone in Mtn.Ops from back in my years...Tell them "Kool-Aid" said OHH YEAAAAHH!!!!

@@BoredProgression Those names do not ring a bell, sadly. Then again I live in a legal weed State now, so who knows? Is quite possible. I remember my direct Super was Robert(bob) something. and the top guy in lifts was good size Hawaiian guy that had surfing posters up all over the office under the Tram Lower station. Cant recall his name tho, bummer. And Matai. Kept calling
Mai-Tai and it pissed him off... I doubt anyone will remember me either...I was just a lifty GRUNT always willing to work more hours if needed. Went up on my days off and frequently got asked to help out on a lift or check tix( back before those fancy cattle gates)
Rode those chutes a lot back in the day. Lots of friends worked the Bird over the year so buddy passes were abundant. Really fun, but always wanted to be first down cause 2nd or 3rd you always got the exposed rocks. Always a good time. Good vid, brings back memories.

I just want to say that that was really cool to see you all supporting each other and encouraging each other . When I was younger I skied with a huge group of friends and we were not very supportive and very ego driven especially myself. I just wanted to be a big air God , and I was but I think I was looked at by my friends as kind of a dick that was willing to break his neck if he had to just to catch more air or do a better trick than someone else. I wish I could go back and be that humble skier that encouraged people but I can’t . I’m glad you guys have that though , keep it up it’s nice to see that . ✌️

None of the chutes in that area including Elevator Shaft are even close to Corbits in my opinion. I’ve ridden several of them (in powder though) and had no issues. I saw Corbits once once on a wind blow hard day and the drop in was probably 15-20’ completely vertical to hard pack into the couloir. I passed on it but it was 10x as scary as the Cirque chutes. Like people laying on their stomachs, looking over the ledge, scary.
Cool. Corbets sounds pretty gnarly.
This is exactly what I was wondering having hit corbets. Elevator looks super gnarly in the video but it always tough to tell from vid. Never in my life have my knees shook as hard as corbets. Great video. Looked like an absolutely sick day 🤙
Hiking A-Z Chutes/Headwaters at Big Sky/Moonlight Basin will make you wanna throw up. F’ing goat path. So sketchy.

@@LagmasterB First time there in 97/98 season local guide asked me if I was game... figured “what the hell I’ll only live/die once.” Even most optimal conditions it’s beyond gnarly.
Got to ride there for the first time in my 20 years of boarding last year. I was there in April and still got some soft fluffy pow! Wish I could have gone when I was younger and more wild! Utah snow is killer compared to Tahoe.
Just started snowboarding this year at 21 years old. This is my first video of yours that I've seen. I have to watch more! The choice of music and the connection you all have to each other and the sport makes me want to watch this all day long. The season just ended here on the East Coast so I think I'll have plenty of time to binge your content haha.

The best week of my life was spent skiing Alta and Snowbird. Such incredible mountains, I can't imagine them being topped, except maybe Jackson Hole, though I've never skied Jackson.
My kids and I couldn’t stop watching you guys ride, they were so disappointed when the video was over. Getting my son amped for our next ride

Making me Homesick. Grew up in Utah now live in the South. Viewers, drops like these are about twice and risky then skiing it. I do both and would drop The Elevator without a second thought on ski's. Prop to you guys that was a big drop and you have my respect

that looks crazy just got done at snowshoe we got lucky with about a foot of snow but it had some really good terrain parks and lots of powder

It snowed that day before we got there and two of the 3 days but the weather looks pretty bad right now I think it is pretty warm and raining but we had powder everyday but the last one had a great time. What was the weather last year when you were there.
@@jadenfann8917 ahhh I see. It was EPIC last year! First time at snowshoe, let alone west va. We got sooooooo lucky... we drove up Thursday March 21st from Atlanta left at 3am... got there that evening.. started snowing and snuck in a little 90.minute session. Friday snowed off and on..... Friday Night puked snow! Saturday was the freshest powder I've ever been on...better than anything in Colorado (we were lucky) as they didn't have anything for like 3 weeks before we got there. Fun times👌🏼

My son and I are decent skiers but would not have voluntarily skied elevator. We ended up in there and somehow made it thru unscathed. Def did not point them though, kind stepped down much of it and prayed hahaha. Takes balls to point them there ! Great job and glad you survived. The scariest part I recall was a large bolder at bottom of chute.

get a lesson 1st day, eg before you get hurt, cheap package deals rent, lesson, ask questions from someone who is chill and can then just progress step by step. helmet, wrist protectors. you will never do anything like it
