The beautiful part about this scene was that it felt so real like he had no clue what he was saying. He was trying to put words together to explain how he felt but he could not.
wonder how much of this was scripted.
because Tom is dyslexic like that lol
I miss these movies. Today it's all about superhero razzle dazzle and non of the quieter more subtle movies that came out even a decade earlier which had way better acting and stories. I hope they return.
i dont think they will for a long time, but we can still enjoy the good old times with a rewatch
In my opinion, this is one of the greatest scenes of its kind in cinematic history. It is without flaw. For me the only thing that rivals it is Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump mourning his Jenny at her grave. “I miss you, Jenny. If there’s anything you need… I won’t be far away.” There's not enough Kleenex...
No kidding I was swept away by the very same feeling when the movie got out. "The reference" when it comes to a "love scene".
I'm happy I found this piece.
When Jenny was sick in bed and Forrest was telling her of all of his travels. She said I wish I could have been there with you. He said, you were. ❤️🥲
They are both great but Tom Cruise's acting here is just on another level
Wow. Tom Cruise is phenomenal actor and Renee Zellweger was so beautiful in this movie. she's a great actress too.
why she changed her face I'll never know.
One of the best scenes of all time, because it gets it right, love
This scene always makes me blush and cry at the same time♥️♥️
The best part is Tom gets to say all this with lots of pauses and not a single interruption.
Them having the women around made this scene even more real
He gave such a beautiful speech, and she says is shut up you had me at hello🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He giving an honoured speech making her feel special and important letting her know that she is the one who completes him😅 so she tells hin shutup coz she knows her value she knows her worth coz she didnt value herself enough coz he had her at hello 👋🤗😂 . She would have placed more time , worth, price tags and value to herself if she was valuable.😅
Perfect scene, no over the top soundtrack drowning out the dialog. The all around expressions were excellent.
Tom is a great actor. I think people forget this about him.
This scence will always be special for me...
If I'd do this to my ex, her family would probably throw shit at me before I even say a word to her. LMFAO.
Haha
Biggest movie star of all time
Agreed stats says the same👍
I can't believe Rene didn't get any nominations or awards for her performance in this movie. Well, what does Hollyweird know?
Tom Cruise didn't get anything for this movie either.
Such a beautiful confession 😍
It's just such an innocent pure beautiful chemistry these two amazing artistic artists have on screen together beautiful work! 👌💖😏
Greatest scene of its genre/type ever…

Great scene. I also love the final scene with Dicky Fox.
-- Look, I don't have all the answers.
To be honest, I have failed as much as I have succeeded. But I love my wife. I love my life and I wish you my kind of success.--

What if his company didn't have a very very big night, would he have still had her at hello?
Would he have come back at all?
wth have you watch the same movie than i did she left her job to help him create his own company when he didn't have much
@@justlive2809 true ☺️
Yea you can see the dollar signs light up in her eyes when he says.. a very good night.. you had me at chaching!! 🤑
@@Richard-wp6ep Of course.. Relationships are just business arrangements..
How long did they know each other , two months.?
I think he really likes her but he’s not sure she feels the same about him ,
No. If you watch the movie. She likes him from the beginning, but they broke up because he doesn't feel the same for her and is using her as an escape.
@@yivunqp963 agree. he just realized it when they got separated. the usual, u only realize that u love the person only when they're gone
what does it mean you had me at hello?
It means that he already won her back when he only said the first word to her which was hello ☺️
Everything else about his speech was fine except “You complete me”. That was goofy.
Actually it was probably something he intentionally says since in the movie much earlier they in a lift and a couple who appear smitten are in the lift with them and the man says in sign language "you complete me" to his partner and she translates it to Jerry..
Worst,🤭😊 shy
Exactly this what I need. Where & who is he ?
I don't wanna kill my mom
wonder how much of this was off script.
Wonder how much was not acting at all. Had it been me (and Tom) it would be 0% acting.
They both are acting very well here, but to be honest both phrases are not the best for a heathy relationship lol. "You complete me" is very reliant on the other person to feel fulfilled in life. We can't put that responsibility on our partners, it's a big job to do. "You had me at hello" not very health either, you can't just give yourself just because someone showed. You need to build trust with time and make sure the other person is someone you can rely on, before "giving: yourself to the other person. Those two would have plenty of things to work on if it was real life lol
Yuck. "You had me at hello" is too glib a thing to say in that situation.
If she's speaking from her heart then it's not glib. Maybe it truly is how she's feeling. Like, she missed him so much she would have taken him back the moment he walked through the door. She didn't need the big speech to convince her.
That phrase was coined from this movie
He never said hello in this scene.
Why do they have to make all the women look stupidly incredulous?
Pay more attention to real life.
I never felt he was in love with her. He fell in love with her son and wanted to be his father. That is it.
But that plays to the demographic, single women/mothers. In my experience single mother really don't want a husband, they want a step father and provider. So I think they got it right to reach their target audience.
Yup total chick flick
@@Richard-wp6ep one of the greatest movies of all time.
@@raiders45coll69 I wouldn't go that far, one of the top 10 chick flicks maybe
@@Richard-wp6ep it's not a chick flick. It's a very intelligent one of a kind movie if you're smart enough to understand it. The first few times I saw it, I didn't think it was that good, like you, but then I saw it again when I was 19 and I was blown away!!
Oh yeah she's suddenly into him again now that he's won.
dude she was into him when he had nothing she literally leave her job to work with him she leave him bc she felt that he wasn't happy with her and they didn't belong together because of the way he was acting with her
No she was in love with him always and even left her job to be broke with him and helped him with his accounting as she was an accountant prior to quitting she left him because he ignored her and purposely would avoid her because he wasn’t good with intimacy but realized in the end he missed and loved her
Secondo me non serve neanche il ciao basta vederlo e ti convince
