Forced birth laws kill women (actual living and breathing *people* who have lives). Furthermore: your nonsense is no excuse whatsoever for the government (state or otherwise) making people incubation salves.
True. But until the people doing it understand your point don't expect a change. Siddartha Gautama and others have said many times that "force" can never win. So, you actual argument is that not only a form of birth control, but the only from of it that is 100% effective is being used as birth control? Seriously; *that* is what you're going with?
He didn't answer the question. Vance chooses not to share his body with not viable children every single day. If that's murder, we all qualify. It's absolutely irrational. Charismatic nonanswers are still nonanswers.
Genghis Khan killed more than 40 million people under his rule . 6 million Jews died in the holocaust under Hitlers rule. Google was invented in 1998. The intellect determines your definition of god.
Here ya go...the truth. It doesn't matter what we (including me) think and that's realty. Every mother to be should be able to make the decision on their own. Unless, whomever is making this decision is willing to raise that person and let that person move in with them. That's pretty simple..
No. And yes. Firstly if I slept with some guy and got pregnant it is no longer my decision alone but mine, the child and the guy. If I were gang raped then my decision alone. If threat to my life or childs then my decision alone. Is this really hard to understand?
Abortion is not birth control. You know you are pregnant at a maximum of two months. There are test that you can purchase to inform you of pregnancy at one month. Or a physician, at two months. There must be a time frame, and a good reason for abortions. And, of course, the most sensible is to prevent pregnancy in the first place.
Wow a life is worth it if they can move in with u. Everyone deserves a right to live. If u let that baby live they strive to try to live throughout its life. U think that life form wants to die even though even at 1 day. Bacteria even wants to live. Y do we have mrsa. Even that life form teaches others of its kind how to not die. We are fd as a species if we dont even want to teach our own to let others of our kind live. No matter what the stage of development
That last remark made no sense, the stats and previous votes have showed that 72% of America is ok with short term abortion, and yet they are taking that away in a lot of states anyways. So no voting as an American doesn't do anything
And there have been several court cases going on against those states. And the district courts in the state are ruling that it’s illegal toto be banned. They are reversing all the bans.
@@overman2306 using that argument, masturbation, contraception and even non-fertilized ovulation would be murder! We are not talking about viable full-term pregnancies! Abortion is not done at a late stage, despite the untruths that are being spewed out by politicians and evangelicals.
Why can't you increase the options to prevent abortions and allow abortions up to a certain term at the same time. It's expectant mothers that should be making that decision not the state.
Exactly! Better sex ed in schools Better access to contraceptives Better access to Plan B Better pre-natal care Better support for families with infants. But the choice about abortion still needs to be between her and her medical provider.
None of those resources removes the risks of irreparable harm caused by pregnancy and childbirth. That's like saying we need to ban e brakes to make people check their normal brakes more often. Absolute no.
When you can actually get a verbal response from a fetus, then it will have a say. Until then, it’s the woman’s choice what to do to her body and no one else’s.
The U.S. Constitution doesn’t explicitly mention women’s rights or abortion, but these issues have been addressed through interpretations of broader constitutional principles, especially under the 14th and 9th Amendments. The 14th Amendment's Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses have historically been used to protect personal privacy and bodily autonomy, affirming the principle that individuals should have control over decisions regarding their own bodies. This foundation has been essential in recognizing that women, too, have the right to make private medical decisions, including those concerning reproductive health. While interpretations can evolve-as we saw with Dobbs v. Jackson, which returned abortion regulation to individual states-the underlying constitutional values of privacy and equality support the idea that everyone should have the right to their own anatomy and personal choices, free from government overreach.
Some people say abortion is murder except when rape is considered or a woman’s health. The truth is that abortion should be a last resort in all situations.
If a 14 yo gets pregnant because some irresponsible male talked her into a sex act she barely comprehended, what's the first resort? Forcing her to endure 9 months of pregnancy and the trauma of childbirth?

I think that candidates who really want to advocate life have to start at the beginning of life. Life only comes about by a sexual encounter of a man and woman. In the great majority of the cases that result in pregnancy, that encounter was consensual. The problem is that we, as a nation, have devalued the concept of family, so those encounters have nothing to do with wanting to take responsibility in the 1st place. So, it ends in abortion. Why, because we don't want mom or dad to find out, we don't want our work to find out, we don't want our spouse to find out, i.e., it's not their child., etc. Pro-life candidates have to come to one understanding. To reduce abortion, we have to reinforce the values of a nuclear family of one male and one female that respects each other in the conception that they bring forth, regardless of whether we planned it or not. The truth is, every man and woman do have a choice. That choice starts and ends with the consensual act. For every abortion that is needed due to rape or other not consensual situations, an official rape charge must 1st be filed in conjunction. If people really want to stop rape etc., then file the charges before killing the innocent child.
"But she had sex" is not a valid excuse for forced birth. Why not just be honest and admit that you want to punish women for getting laid? It's not like it could be more obvious. Furthermore: sometimes having an abortion *is* taking responsibility.
You have a narrow viewpoint. Life existed well before bodies. You don't have a soul, you have a body and ARE the soul. Most will not have full understanding on this until the body dies at which point one is then exterior to the body ( above it for a moment) and then the "fun" begins. Not really fun but hopefully you get part of this comment.
Open your ears please. We the people have our own family values that don’t have to correspond to yours…if you want to make America great again stay out of our lives, our bedrooms, keep your religion to yourself because I don’t need or want to live by your values..or would I want to be part of your “ nuclear” family … some of the finest people I know are homosexual and one of the most beautiful women I know had an abortion because the baby had a giant hole in its spine… but she went in to have 4 children which would not have happened if she had not aborted the first one. Who are you to presume how people should live their lives.
@@laurenhahn101 LOL. You are clueless. For example per Siddartha Gautama you are on earth to make your way "back up" to where you were. You were put here as we all were. The thing that you inhabit is the body. If more and more bodies are aborted where will YOU be then? I can remember being in the womb at an early age although (of course) you would not believe that BUT you will find out soon enough when the body that you are in expereiences body death. You'll know for a few seconds at least.
Save as many vulnerable people ??? WOMEN! That's who are now 2nd class citizens who apparently have no idea what they're doing with their bodies....... smh.
Treatment for miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies is legal in every state in America, even states with pro life laws. You are misinformed and letting the Harris campaign create fear in you.
Abortion debates and restrictive laws often focus on a single narrative, ignoring the many complex reasons women may need this care. It’s not just about choice-it’s about health, safety, and personal rights. Women face unimaginable situations, like non-viable pregnancies or health complications that threaten their lives, yet restrictive laws push their rights aside. If we fiercely defend the Second Amendment, shouldn't we show the same respect for women’s rights to make decisions about their own bodies?
For starters abortion is legal in all states for life threatening health problems. But since you are talking about non viable pregnancies and these are the excuses all the pro abortion activists like to bring up as well as rape. But non viable pregnancies only account for 3% of abortions, rape accounts for 1%, incest about 1%. So if the law provided for these three issues would y’all be okay with said law. If not then this is clearly not the issue. Pregnancy is not a period which just happens. There is a way you get pregnant. Pregnancy in most cases is very avoidable. Most people who have abortions were not using protection when they got pregnant. There is a thing called personal responsibility as well as consequences for your actions. Pregnancy is a consequence, a consequence that everyone of sound mind is well aware of.
@@howsie123 I appreciate your perspective. While it’s true that some states permit abortions when the mother’s life is at risk, restrictive laws in other cases can complicate access even in dire circumstances. Reproductive health isn’t only about personal responsibility; it’s also about respecting a woman’s right to make choices for her unique situation, especially when it involves medical complexities. We should strive for laws that consider all women’s health needs, not just a narrow set of conditions.
@@howsie123 Restricting abortions to 4 or 6 weeks is ridiculous since most women don’t even know they’re pregnant then. He didn't answer the question. He is a coward. The real answer is that it is always wrong to deliberately kill an innocent human. Every human has the right to exist unless they give up that right by doing some very heinous act. Unborn people are not guilty of anything at all. Politicians might tip toe around moral questions, but real men speak the truth.
Those two things are just opposites and anyone who takes such a position is either incapable of rational thought, an absolute unapologetic hypocrite ,or a disingenuous coward who is afraid to take any position. At very least, you might rate some amount of respect for having a conviction on your position.
Yet either of them have said what they will do to prevent pregnancies and how they will support these women, the babies, tge families that can't afford them or are too young or simply dont want kids. Or how they will take care of the families after the Mom died because she couldn't get the Healthcare she needed when she had an eptopic pregnancy or miscarriage.

Late-term abortions only happen when the fetus is dying under Roe v Wade if a woman had a medical emergency at that point they would still save the mother's life but put the baby in an incubator you have to care about the woman's life just as much as you care about the fetus women are dying from miscarriage because hospitals in red states are too afraid to treat pregnant women and many of the laws and red States say you can only intervene to prevent the death of the pregnant woman so how close to death does she have to be do we wait until her heart stops do we wait until she's lost 2 pints of blood how close does she have to be to death

I don't have to worry about how many votes I will lose if I give a clear answer either way. Abortion isn't "the moral equivalent of murder". Abortion is a specific type of murder. policy is 'leaving it to the voters' - sorry, but isn't that essentially 'pro choice'? so both rep and dem are essentially agreeing on the same outcome but the recipe for the dish is different.
I think in this context 'leaving it to the voters' is meant in relation to Roe v Wade being a decision for the whole country made by unelected court justices, Roe v Wade being overturned returned the issue to the state legislatures or potentially the Federal Congress to resolve at the discretion of voters. Obviously allowing there to be 'pro choice' states and 'pro life' states is a compromise position akin to having 'slave states' and 'free states' before the Civil War, committed partisans on both sides of the issue won't be content to leave the issue at that.

If you are ending an innocent life, it is murder. I work in the OR and I will never help end an innocent person's life. We first need to fix the fatherless issue in the US. This should be the number 1 issue. Because from that branches everything else. We see what people become when they don't have fathers; liberals. We need to teach people to stop having sex outside marriage. We need to strengthen our adoption services and not turn it into a drop off center for the irresponsible. Give fathers the right to be a father.
Then you know you often have to save the woman or the fetus at the detriment of the other. In an OR, you know pregnancy is very complicated, especially with comorbilities. Taking away choice from the woman, the patient, when either her health or the fetus' health could be compromised is against your oath as a healthcare provider: do no harm.

This is the slippery slope. Abortion should essentially be the trolley problem. In a no win situation, who should be saved!? The only reason why I would say it's not equivalent is because you're only responsible for your actions- and a lot of people have put in a lot of effort to try to justify it for you. So while I think the blame is essentially equivalent (they are both lives, but the no win trolley problem can still favor a 16 year old over a 105 year old- ie, abortion should usually be the chosen option if mother's life is at heavy risk) therefore the political/medical machine that has pushed for abortion on demand soak up most of the blame. I would prosecute the dealers not the users, and I blame them 90%. Users are victims themselves, but in that they still victimize others in their victimhood, I still give them 10%. It's been slippery sloped down to being on demand. No one is on the current track. The track is just a bit bumpier and the ticket costs more. On the other track is a sack of cells... that may or may not be a baby. Why would you flip the switch to run over the track that may or may not be a baby when no one is on the current track?

Abortion debates and restrictive laws often focus on a single narrative, ignoring the many complex reasons women may need this care. Women face unimaginable situations, like non-viable pregnancies or health complications that threaten their lives, yet restrictive laws push their rights aside. If we fiercely defend the Second Amendment, shouldn't we show the same respect for women’s rights to make decisions about their own bodies?
Very well said!
Oh God, make your righteous servants subservient to us. Oh God, make your righteous servants subservient to us. My appeal to every Muslim, oh Lord, if he sees this message, may He prolong his life, make him happy, and cover him. May God reward him. God is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs. There is no power or strength except with God. Oh people, oh nation of Muhammad, oh people of goodness, oh people of mercy. We are your sisters and your children. By God, we do not even find a loaf of bread inside the house that would satisfy you. Oh nation of Muhammad, I only spoke out of extreme hunger and distress. My mother, sisters, and I are displaced from our homes because of the war. We are in a state that no one knows about except God. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, against those who brought us to this state 💔💔 By God Almighty, I only wrote this appeal out of extreme poverty and poverty, oh people. I beg you by God Almighty, Lord of the Mighty Throne, that I do not have food at home. By God, my brothers and sisters have been sitting around for two days. Without food, by God our situation is very difficult, we are 4 people in the house and my father passed away and there is no one to support us and we live in a rented house and we cannot pay the rest of the rent. I am not lying to you nor deceiving you nor cheating you. I am a Yemeni girl displaced because of the war between me and my family over a rent dispute and the owner of the house. By God, my brother comes every day and humiliates us and talks about us and wants us to go out to the street because we are unable to pay him the rent. The neighbors saw us crying and talked to the neighbors again and gave us a deadline until the end of the week and we swore to God to let us out of the street now we are in arrears of 60 thousand Yemeni riyals for 3 months rent may God have mercy on us our country is suffering because of this war and we do not find our daily sustenance and we live my mother and sisters our father passed away may God have mercy on him and we do not have anyone in the world to come to us in these harsh circumstances my little sisters went out to the street and saw the neighbors eating and stood at their door giving them even a piece of bread and by God in whose hand is the heavens and the earth they closed the door and kicked them out and they came back crying dying of hunger no one has mercy on them and now the holiday has come back to me if no one of us helps us with a kilo of flour by God we will die of hunger brother I seek refuge in God and then in you and I want your help for the sake of God I ask you by God you love goodness and help me even if it is about the rent of the house send me a WhatsApp message on this number 00967712522202 and ask for my card name and send it and do not delay may God compensate you with all good My little sisters, look at their situation and help us and save us before they throw us out into the street and humiliate us or my family and I die of hunger. We ask you by God, if you are able to help us, do not delay on us, and may God reward you with good.'~~_«%•&»_~~_~&:»'//// ̃ ̅˔ ̈ ̉ ̊˽˞˛ ̃ ̅˔ ̈ ̉ ̊˽˞˛˿ ̀ ́ ̃ ̅ ̈ ̉◇◇◇◇◇◇ ̊˽˞˛˿˿˘˘˛˛˛˛◂◄◃ȴȴ◆⁃⁃◃◃⁃■■•••;..،..،.،..،..،.

J D is a disgrace if one of their kids was rape what you think they going to do
Did u not listen? It should be up to the State! The Voters!
And Democrats want abortions up till the point the baby is born! Do some research
@@heather648 In what way should state governments be able to make people incubation slaves via forced birth laws??
Do you want no restrictions at all?
@@DriveInFreakyour sentence doesn’t make sense, but you’re also using extreme language that doesn’t really mean anything.
Ur clueless JD
You seem to know a lot about logic, but are unaware that "slippery slope" is a logical fallacy. Not a logical argument
@@rensinclair4218 Slippery slope fallacy is a fallacy. Slippery slopes exist. Slippery slope fallacy is claiming something is a slippery slope when it might be inert- or a slope that isn't slippery. Or a slippery slope that bottoms out earlier than the fallacy would suggest.
Slippery slopes exist! They definitely exist in politics because lobbyists exist. Their job is to push. If everyone comes to a fair agreement, the lobbyists would be out of the job. So fair isn't good enough for them- they will keep pushing something else until something else pushes back and a new frontline is established.
In my above comment I'm not even talking about future potential slipping.
I'm talking about events that HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED.
How "safe, legal and rare" became what we're at now.
That position WAS slippery because it barely held at all.
Now the lobbyists push with "abortion on demand and without apology" or similar slogans.
Republicans can't really be anti-abortion anymore, they have to just be states rights. We've slipped that far.
Is it going to keep slipping? If left alone, possibly. But as the lobbyists push for late term and even post birth abortions, pushback increases.
And the equilibrium seems to be somewhere around 2-4 months. But this is far down the slippery slope from safe, legal and rare.

If you by any means cause harm to a pregnant woman where she loses her baby the law say it's murder so what do you call it when the mother do it through a doctor or a pill, outcome is the same.
It’s called her right to choose. Your analogy is very flawed because someone harming a pregnant woman is doing so to another person without her consent. Think before you type next time.
@@lspiegel5704 unfortunately the outcome is the same, a baby was killed inside the womb
@@montyscullard5102 Not everyone considers it a baby because technically it’s a fetus and abortion is not murder.

Great answer. Let the voters decide. STATES RIGHTS NOW!!
Why should sates have the right to make women incubation salves via forced birth laws??
@@DriveInFreak Because... this is a federal system... and a DEMOCRACY. Oh its not a democracy when you don't agree with it.

Running away from the question. Hypocrite and liar.
What do you want? Absolutes are in fact not obtainable in the physical universe. Do you understand this point? What is your viewpoint on abortion?
@@davidburkholder7360 My view point is personal but I am not a politician trying to get votes by lying. I am an educated person from two top universities in UK, so I can draw my own conclusion when somebody is being an hypocrite.

We did not leave slavery to the states.Abortion should be banned. As Nancy Reagan said"just say no"
Forced birth laws make people incubation slaves, thus you are pro-slavery..
Absolutes are not obtainable in the physical universe. Where you and I are.
@@davidburkholder7360there was a time when abortion was not an option, what are you talking about??
@@angelamarie8634 I am against abortion. But I am also saying that absolutes are not obtainable in the phyiscal universe. The physical universe is earth and everything that you can see in space and time throughout the universe. Do you understand? There is only more and more right or more and more wrong. An infinite rightness or wrongness can not be seen in the physical universe. Absolutes are not obtainable. You can say with the best of engineers that a train track is perfectly straight but someone else can make it more straight. Abortion is obviously VERY immoral and unethical but there can be rare and justifiable exceptions. That is what I am saying.
Forced birth is literally slavery
I don’t like abortion. I detest it. But under our constitutional system of government, all powers not expressly granted to the federal government are specifically reserved to the states. (Read the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution.) Restriction/denial of abortion is a matter for each state’s legislature to decide for each state. If you don’t like abortion, it is up to YOU to marshal support for your position and to ensure that your state elects state legislators who enact a law to make abortion illegal.
What about the 14th amendment? No state shall deprive any person of life nor deny to any person the equal protection of the laws, and Congress has the power to make sure that's enforced. Is the unborn human a person?
It's up to you to leave our daughters alone and not start a civil war. Yes, it's that serious.
