Hello everyone. On behalf of Sophie's World Productions, I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your wonderful and touching comments. I just want you all to know that Sophie's World Productions is a Singapore company, founded by a Singaporean, managed by a Singaporean, and the song AS ONE, was commissioned by myself, a Singaporean, who truly loves and appreciate Singapore, and our people.
I just want to make it very clear that the lyrics came from my heart, being very thankful to our great pioneers for what we have now, and for what I consider our country's No 1 Icon, Prime Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, and our people.
The musical score was composed by an exceptional artist with my direct involvement as to how should it sound, beats, rhythm, etc.
The video was lovingly researched, created and edited by one of our very talented Senior Producer, with my directions.
Please be proud with me, for this song would never have happened, if not for us, Singaporeans, who truly love our nation.
Let's enjoy this beautiful song and video, and let's celebrate together our nation's 50th year anniversary with love, appreciation, and hope in our hearts, for more fruitful years to come for all of us.

The song "As One" is a very beautiful song with a very nice lyrics incorporated with the live video footage which is very historic and significant. This video "As One" really captures emotions in the hearts of people.

I heard a few SG50 songs so far and they are all great. As One has very simple lyrics but meaningful chorus. And it blends well with the music . I hope all these SG 50 songs can be compiled and shared with the public. They all deserve to be heard :). Well done and great job done to all who contributed their beautiful pieces.

This is the first time I'm commenting online. Felt I really need to. A very inspiring song. Should be THE song for sg50. Concise but powerful lyrics, with awe-inspiring score. None of the longwinded hard to remember mumbo jumbo of the 3 mediacorp finalists songs. As a Singaporean living in canada for the last 25 years, it made me feel connected to my homeland once again. Now, I wonder whether it is once again written by a canadian? Eh? Lah?
A pity this song is not eligible for the SG50 song contest. I have not heard the rest of the entries but I would say this is up there with "Home".

To be honest this is the far the best song compared to last few years ndp. Although I didn't see any other entries. My hair stands when the 2nd verse came. I really wish the judge will reconsider your music to SG50. This also to pay a tribute to our late fore father LKY and we will always remember his spirit which ur music video has potrayed. Nice. Very nice. I think this song may stand the test of time. Also, easy to follow and sing. I like the build up within the song - the no-lyrics music after the 1st few lines (1:21 - 1:49) & build up in intensity & bass and climax towards the end.

I think we can pass it on.. it's that way that it gets accepted.. not necessarily by the word and actions directed by bureaucracy.. but the fact that this songs rings to us... the beauty of it.. and that it sings to us.. of what we come from.. who we've become.. and the man behind it all.. we can pass it along.. like folk songs.. between neighbours.. amongst schoolmates.. and out fellow countrymen..
