- Part 18 in an audio-lecture series through 1 & 2 Corinthians, taught by Pastor David Guzik. Paul's corrective yet loving epistles to the church in Corinth stand as an incredibly important and instructive message for believers and the church as a whole to this very day.

I love your PASSION for the Word!!!! It’s contagious!!!!! 🙏🏻💯🕊️
Thank you for not cutting out the prayer
I think now you are my favourite pastor to watch for Bible study for I gain such wisdom. Thank you brother.
Thank you for your kind words and support. God be with you!
Amen❤
David, thank you once again for your teaching. I am sorry to see all the nonsense comments some use this space for. I come to the TH-cam version of the audio after reading your commentary to follow the transcript in case I miss a point and need to pause and back up.
Amen! Sincere and spot on!🎯📖🙏
The strangest thing… the past few chapters, I’ve felt like I’ve heard your audios on this before. Tonight I’m sure all the way down to why Paul didn’t mention the women seeing Jesus. But I come to your videos after my nightly reading and I started following you when I was in Matthew. I click like on every video I watch and just did tonight. So I can’t for the life of me figure out when I’ve heard this before as I’ve just now made it to Corinthians after finding you.
Anyway… I appreciate you!
Good Morning po Sir David Guzik .
Faith's realty.

Lord save us from the Corinthians “ pulpit talkers”
With their confusion and their “ what Jesus has laid on my heart”😮
There are many so called ministers today who do not believe that Jesus really rose from the dead. This nothing new or enlightened. There were those in Paul's day who said the same thing.

Is Paul saying the crucifixion and resurrection was revealed solely through the scriptures? There's no reference to eyewitness testimony, the Romans or the empty tomb?🤔
Pastor Lance replies - The Apostle Paul is not saying that here. In vs 5-8, Paul gives a list of witnesses.

I don't want to hear about the crucifixion
Sorry to hear that. Without Christ's work on the cross, none of us could have freedom from the penalty and the slavery of sin. Here's a quick TH-cam short about the dangers that befall the church (and believer) who neglects to preach Christ being crucified.

You can watch the earlier video in this series, "1 Corinthians 1:18-31 - The Wisdom of the Cross" to learn about why the cross is vitally important to the Gospel.

"Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but 𝐰𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. "
1 Corinthians 1:22-25
Jesus and god created satan to inflict evil on man.
When Jesus walked into the temple to pray, he noticed evil in the temple that he and god chose to do nothing about. Because they couldn’t or wouldn’t do anything about it.
The buybull tells us, that Jesus sat, patiently, weaving leather cords into a whip, the serpent/satan. He then used the whip, violently to drive the evil from heaven and onto earth. When done, Jesus stood in the temple, the throne room of god, clutching the whip/serpent in his hands. For Jesus is the, qui caput et corpus reget serpentis. He who controls the head and body of the serpent.
