» GOA’S FORBIDDEN STREET FOOD
1. HOTEL PARAKH: Tambda rassa (Red Curry) + Pandhara Rassa (White Curry) + Sukha Mutton
ADDRESS: No. 266, E Ward, Patoli Ward, Near SM Ghatage Automobiles, Kolhapur, Maharashtra - 416005
OPEN: 12:30- 3:30PM and 7:30-11:00PM
🍛TAMBDA RASSA: The Masala is made by frying onions in oil with grinded coconut, coriander and sesame seed paste. Add Kolhapur special masala chutney, salt, turmeric, garam masala and cook in mutton with stock and some water. Let it simmer for 10-15 min until it reaches boiling point. Serve with millet bread, called Jowar Bhakri.
🍵PANDHARA RASSA: Make the base masala by frying whole spices in hot oil like cinnamon, clove, bay leaf, black peppercorns, coconut milk, chicken stock, mutton stock, sesame seeds paste and ginger garlic paste. Then add water, chicken and mutton stock, cook properly to perfection.
🐐SUKHA MUTTON: Fry boiled mutton pieces in oil, salt and chili. Serve hot!

Beef is a staple in many states of the north-east & Kerala and there are restaurants in multiple major cities famous for its beef dishes. So, labelling a video "Beef - India's forbidden food" (or something similar) is uninformed and misleading. That's the point I'm trying to make.
That surprised me. I work in hotels and when I was in Nepal I was shocked when I found out cows meat in Nepal are transported from India. But there's thousand of case when some guy got killed for having cow meat. India really is weird county

Having grown up in a Portuguese community here in Massachusetts and a LOVER of Indian food and culture, this food is triggering me. lol...It's very cool to see the traditional Portuguese foods, i.e. chourico, linguica, Portuguese pao bread rolls, malassadas, etc. being fused with Indian food. A match made in heaven. I assume that they have Portuguese-Mozambique-style dishes there too. ALWAYS get the Portuguese-Mozambique dishes, another match made in foodie heaven.

There was a authentic maharashtran thali on a highway when we returned from Goa, they cooked on charcoal , roti were made with hand , it could not have been more authentic , and the taste of the meat was fantastic

I am a good cook. Also I enjoy cooking. I wish I could cook for those who are stuck at home eating struggle food.

It is cow slaughter which is main cause. And India doesn't export cow meat . People like you use beef to missguide people. Use term water buffalo it is exported that too boneless. Beef is generic term
I never used the word COW. As of now, only Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur and Mizoram allow cow slaughter. India became 2nd largest exporter of beef after Brazil in 2019. I am from Kerala, and people here eat cow, ox, Buffalo, goat, pork chiks etc irrespective of their religion.
I made curry for my Indian neighbours I said it was lamb but it was actually beef they said it was delicious 😂
