  • Hello hello! In my video "IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE TO BE A CORPORATE FLIGHT ATTENDANT" I am walking you through all of the costs associated with being a Private Flight Attendant. A lot of viewers were surprised about all of the things Corporate Flight Attendants have to pay for when they are on a layover, or working on a private jet. Plus there is the cost of Corporate Flight Attendant (Corporate Cabin Attendant) training which is VERY expensive. I also answer frequently asked questions about Flight Attendant life and working on a private jet. Make sure to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on any future Private Flight Attendant videos!

    So, in the end you don't pay for everything out of pocket. You submit an expense report and you are reimbursed for the costs. For the first 10 minutes it sounded like you were actually paying for everything! That would be like the pilots paying for landing fees and fuel and other fbo costs.

    It never ceases to amaze me how those with the most money expect those with the least to spend their money on those with the most.

    • @charleseskildsen3317
      @charleseskildsen3317 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      LOL, Those with the most money end up paying for it in the end, they are billed for everything. I mean everything. It is always so easy to think that the rich are riding on the back of the poor but for the most part that is just not the case. perhaps where taxes are concerned but for services they pay for it. Also a great deal of corporate require the employee to use their own credit cards for travel and expenses and then they reimburse them after they file the receipts with their TER. It is just standard practices.

    I’m exhausted - that sounds like a lot of work. I don’t have that kind of energy, I admire your stamina! It’s not the money for me, it’s all the running around. That might be a video idea - the work that goes into prepping for a flight from beginning to end. I know you’ve covered that though to some degree. I think I first came across your channel earlier this year and it was recommended by the TH-cam algorithm as one of your videos appeared in my TH-cam feed.
    Your content was engaging, particularly from the perspective where I was able to gain insights relating to my perfections (design of Biz Jet interiors) so I subscribed to your channel and not just the particular video I watched at first. The subscription has held and I continue to receive your videos in my feed though I have not checked the notification bell nor received notification emails, however it still shows that I am subscribed to your channel 🤔
    Hope the above helps.

    I've been following your channel for about 8 months after finding it during a search for private jets. Once again a topic well covered. Maybe with your required credit limit, you should be the passenger instead of the flight attendant. 😀 Your high average card balance and record of paying it promptly probably helped when you & Johnny bought the house, another benefit. Do you use separate cards for work and personal charges? I used to do that when I traveled for work. Some people get a credit card with the most "perks" but not necessarily the best interest rate to use for work since it will be paid off before 30 days. Then they get a card with a better interest rate for personal charges.

    • @JacquelineTravels
      @JacquelineTravels  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve enjoyed our “convos” for the past 8 months! I do think charging large amounts has helped my credit, and my CC company has upped my limit a few times. I do use my card for both business and personal purchases because I like the perks. I charge personal items on my card and immediately transfer from my checking so I never carry a personal balance.
      Thanks again for everything 😊😊😊

    Just a few thoughts. For those young folks who do lack immediate funds for the FA school..have you ever seen any work/study or mentorship programs where someone is willing to start out at a reduced daily contract rate and be under the mentorship of someone like you at your own company if they thought there is or will be a need for supplementing the schedule? I remember you were telling me that you weren't subject to duty time FAA rules but I don't remember if you as a corporate or private FA had to have mandatory safety training or not.
    I realize, depending on the aircraft there would be possibly a space issue and then of course higher expense with the additional lodging and meal expenses. You had indicated that not all private and corporate flights operated with FA's. If a young woman or man was good at marketing oneself, perhaps they could approach a part 91 or 135 operator after sufficient online study and other inexpensive courses on cooking, presentation, etc. that she or he may land at least a part-time gig as an FA.
    Lol I'm sure I've missed some things that put a monkey wrench into my ideas!
    You're JUST one more day closer to "getting back in the saddle again!"
    Take care!
    Perhaps you can run an online FA school!😉🛬🛩🌩😉

    • @JacquelineTravels
      @JacquelineTravels  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You bring up a great point. There is a position where you are there just to serve food and keep the passengers comfortable. You can’t sit in a jump seat you have to sit in the cabin with passengers. I don’t know how common that job is because most people want someone with the safety training. I’ve heard of it but I don’t know of anyone who has done it and I can’t think of the official name off the top of my head. I’ll have to look into it

    • @stephenbond3348
      @stephenbond3348 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JacquelineTravels Yes, perhaps that could be a way for an entry-level position for some company who cannot afford a professional FA's pay rate...which I know can upset other professionals like yourself who have "paid their dues" through sacrifice and perseverance.
      You may be too young to remember "A and B pay rates" for airlines. I think it was even tried with FA's with terrible results. It created a lot of division and animosity between co-workers, especially cockpit crew.
      "Did you ever tell us what your favorite corporate/private jet was to work in?"
      "What about your favorite airliner? Least favorite?"
      I hope someday you can interview your cockpit crew someday if you think that would merit your channel growth. I know you can't be "everything to everybody." That's a marketing axiom.
      Great decision for you all to use personal credit card for business expenses incurred.
