a expirment for u guys to try, pop up ur favorite song on itunes, listen to it focus on the rythym the lyrics. now do it with ur eyes closed. like the impaired man instead of focusing on your 5 senses, your sight is gone, 4 senses left, try holding ur breath close ur nostrils for about 10 seconds and listen to that music, if ur focusing on only 3 senses the music should sound much more clear and you will be able to focus on the rythym and lyrics easier
My friend's grandma used to say "how do you know we are not the 'mistakes' (remember she was born before WW1) and they're not God's intention? Look at the joy for simple things and their appreciation for those same things. They don't have the worry and stress yet they are in the same life with the same strife yet still find joy at every bend."
@Anentity That's how I feel each time someone tells me their kid is in a so-called gifted and talented program at their public school. All they are is dull and ordinary.
Yes, yes, negative my comment, but I have met autistic children and worked with them and they blow my mind with the things that they can do or comprehend, especially for being "impaired".
More often than not I have found that each child had one thing about them that was savant-esque. and while I agree, not all of autistic people are, the ones that do have these qualities...are like superheros.
@marymoro1981 Lol I see your comment is from a year ago but I wanted to point out that a savant is actually extremely rare. There are only around 50 living savants in the world. Autistic kids may display much talent in a skill, but not on the same level as a Savant.
I know you are right, but after having seen him i do tend to believe him ヅ I think its a shame to learn that a genius like him mostly duplicate and hardly ever create. I bet he can lift the music as we know it to a whole other level.
Are there ANY relation between Autism and blindness or are this just a coinsedense? I ask because i got Autism myself (mild form) but are also blind on my right eye, and have been so since birth. I asked a doctor, but she said it was two different syndromes... This brings me to doubt that statement.
most of the autistic children have a savant ability , in music, art , math and in calender , sorry Jerry it's not rare in autistic it's rare in normal , but the pure autistic has a savant.
Bad documentary about two interesting people. They are savants, neither superlatively gifted as savants go....They meet...They play a benefit concert as desired. "He's a musical human who is a supermusical human"? Gag.
Good People...If you are able to catch this documentary in full don't pass it up. It's brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
im among people who finally understand what its like to be different thanks everyone
Well there is a special Braille musical note system as well as several electronic aids they might be able to use, despite of their autism.

Autism is not the same as a Savant. A Savant is a very very rare case in Autism.
