    I enjoyed this , very helpful. My friend bought me one of the twisty spring remover and I couldn’t figure it out. The demo was good and I will try again . There really should be a permanent solution, for what can be a very embarrassing problem, especially when you are young and in your teens, as I remember only to well.

    I dermaplane. It helps with fuzzy hair but man when you got retin a flake face dermaplaning really helps me. I just am so glad I found your channel. You are brave for trying the threading.

    Hi, just saw your video about the tweezerman facial hair removal tool. I was thinking of buying one, but saw several bad reviews about it. But when you have course chin hairs, something has to be done. I paid for laser hair removal which did not rid me of any hair for the long term and I spent a lot of money for nothing. Anyway I am hoping this will be a long term solution. I am going to give it a try because of your video. Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you...now I'm even more confused on what to purchase lol. I tried dermaplaning which was good but only could use a couple of times before blunting and only had 3 on hand. Was thinking about getting an epilator...but which one?? Might need a wine night with my sister to discuss pros n cons further :) Thanks heaps for the extensive coverage...very informative.

    • @iluvfaces1042
      @iluvfaces1042  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think a lot will depend on how much and what type of hair you need to remove. If it is just peach fuzz, there is a new little shaver out that does a great job. But If you have some coarse hairs, you may want to tweeze (if there are only a couple) or use the tweezerman tool that actually pulls the hair out. I think a wine night is a great idea. xo Melissa

    • @jenniferjaxxie511
      @jenniferjaxxie511 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is what I use on what I like to call my "ladystache". It was so embarrassing, because once I hit thirty I started getting long, dark hairs above my lip. I would pluck them, but then the little peach fuzz would cake up my foundation and it made me so self-conscious. I did waxing, but my skin is so sensitive that it left nasty bloody spots that would scab over and end up looking worse than the hair. I tried plucking, but there are so many little fine hairs. So I finally saw a video on that Sally Hansen cream and I found it at my local grocery store for under $5. I really works!

    Thanks Melissa for answering my question! I had the same experience with derma planing! Personal grooming time taking the romance out... Hahaha, I agree! After trying most of what you have AND Tria as well as the MeSmooth devices, I have finally resorted to shaving in the shower. It's quiet & fast, I get ultra smooth skin (no razor burn thankfully). Now I just have to find a friend who loves me enough that if I ever fall into a coma, she'll shave my face for me! Lol

    This video is amazing! Most all of us women have little or a lot of facial hair, and I happen to have a lot in my books. I've done electrolysis for probably 20 years! And still have fine hairs. Tough places and I have had an appt. now for over a year because she thought I was so caught up. I will be going back pretty soon, to get another catch up. She advises no tweezing or shaving because of them creating stubble. So she advises a small scissors and I have one that gets really close. Sometimes I do get so frustrated and use a tweezer! It can get so frustrating. With the Tweezerman coil tool, do you get a stubble from that? Thanks Melissa and I subbed to your videos.

    • @iluvfaces1042
      @iluvfaces1042  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for subbing! I find that with the coil tool the stubble effect is much less. I won't say none, because some of those corse hairs are going to feel like stubble no matter how you remove them. I also find if I use the coil tool regularly, it really keeps the new ones that come up under control. xo Melissa

    I've been using the Bella facial hair spring remover since October 2018 and the fuzz is so much finer now, and I do it once a week. I still have fuzz down my neck under my ears, and on my neck under my chin... I'm afraid to mess with it... do you do your neck and all the way under your chin. I go a little under the chin but have gotten a few bumps here and there??? Any info would be helpful.

    • @iluvfaces1042
      @iluvfaces1042  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I do go down under my chin and on my neck. I don't seem to get any bumps there. If you experience some bumps you could use an AHA or BHA toner to keep them under control, Paula's Choice or Pixi both have good toners for that purpose. Good luck, xo Melissa

    As an esthetician, I love providing dermaplaning to my clients. It should be painless and remove your vellus hairs and lift off dead skin cells, The protocol also uses a light aha peel to totally get in there and unplug those pores for better extractions.

  • @ElectrologyNow
    @ElectrologyNow 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    All hair follicles bleed when tweezed out. You only see the
    blood with larger follicles. All plucked-out follicles produce a tiny amount of
    scar tissue in the follicle (the reticular dermis). For a number of reasons,
    plucking will eventually cause distorted follicles and hairs, and larger
    diameter and stronger hairs. Plucking can cause pustules and ingrown hairs …
    and, eventually, irregular skin.
    I’ve done electrolysis for 40-years and there is nothing “on
    heaven or earth” that will get women to stop plucking their hairs. So, I just
    gave up! Pluck, wax, thread … Yep!
    After a good 10 - 15 years of plucking, they finally show up
    for electrolysis after they’ve made a mess of things. Shaving does nothing
    except cut off the hair. Shaving will not make hairs stronger or cause
    distorted follicles. I have a couple videos on this subject that are scientific
    based; if you’re interested.

    • @iluvfaces1042
      @iluvfaces1042  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really, especially if you use the tool regularly and you are not removing every hair off your face at one time, which makes it much less noticeable. Certainly if you have some corse hairs, you will likely feel them as they grow back.

    I get horrible hair bumps if I tweeze. My mom told me to never shave. I’m very glad that I listened; because I see a lot of women with a “ 5 o’clock shadow “ . I let it grow out, then I use that little clipper. Anything that pulls hair out of my face will cause hair bumps.

    Facial hair is hormonal. A dermatologist says exfoliating your face is fine once in a while. She demonstrated and she says the hairs does not change texture as it returns. She recommended to use fragrance free hair cream and using lots of moisturizer. Always use a good sunscreen everyday so you don’t have tan lines but also so you don’t get wrinkles and cancer. I bought a barbers razor from a beauty place that sell beauty and barber products. I love it.

    While saying goodbye to my visiting grandson 'age 3/genius', his hands were full so he backed up to me for a kiss goodbye (?). I but my arms around his shoulders and kissed him under the right ear. He (with his loud voice ) announced "Grandma has a sticky mouth". "A sticky mouth?" asked his father? "Yes, she has stickies all on her mouth". (cringe)

      That’s funny! My sister in law worked in special education. She was helping one of her students with his math and he kept starring at her. He finally took the eraser end of his pencil and started rubbing her face. She asked what he was doing. He replied, “I’m trying to erase your wrinkles!” 😂

    Great video! I love the Tweezerman Facial Hair Removal Tool for dark coarse and sadly thickening hairs on my chin, cheeks, sideburns and neck. I have PCOS (a hormonal imbalance where women have low Progesterone which cause facial hair). I have found this to be the best tool as well. I think it is great how you demonstrated the tool as it does take a bit of practice. In addition to this tool I have also started using natural progesterone cream which has slowed the hair growth and begun thinning my facial hair. I have also notice it is becoming finer now that my hormones are more balanced. Anyone interested should research how to use natural progesterone cream for PCOS first as you do not apply it daily but according to you menstrual cycle. Here is link to another great link that might be helpful to those whose facial hair is related to PCOS. th-cam.com/video/TdV8QynBlT0/w-d-xo.html Hope this is of help to those needing it.
