6 days of irrigation, 7 days of results: Sprinkler irrigation by Komet

In sunny Marydale in South Africa’s Northern Cape province, the Maree family applies mechanized irrigation to grow cotton, wheat and maize. Since making the switch to Komet Irrigation in 2019, Kameelboom Farm has reached next-level efficiency: “In every seven-day irrigation period, we now save an entire day’s worth of water,” Christiaan Maree explains.
“Our pivots, which are equipped with Komet sprinklers, run six days a week." Their other Pivots with competitive sprinklers have to run for seven days to get the same results, such as humidity level in the soil, due to less water losses and better water infiltration.
