In the 70s at school, i got caned, slippered, ruled, and hit with an encyclopedia and blackboard rubber thrown at me. I can honestly say never did me any arm 😂. Also, I got the belt of me, mam, for getting into bother.
Those were the days. Such nostalgia you make me want to go back to the glorious summer of 76. Riots, high unemployment, the winter of discontent, but lots of brilliant BBC comedies.
In the 1950s and 1960s at my all-girls school, we were punished by caning and cold showers (watched by the gym teacher). Things like walking on the wrong side of a corridor, or forgetting your towel for after-gym hot showers were punished. We were all absolutely terrified of our teachers. But things have swung too far the other way now. 😕
Smacked for generally being hit or as a threat: "I'll smack 'im one!". Made to play basketball without footwear - I turned on the ball of my foot and a significant area of skin tore, being sent home for 2 weeks (pre Easter break of 3 weeks) for too short a hair cut, repeatedly hit across the back of the left hand at the age of 6 with a steel edged ruler for being left handed (she never won). There's a few others over the 70's/80's
I was in the Deputy Headmaster's office one time in the early seventies for some infraction, I can't remember now, as I was one of those kids that got the cane every other week or so. Anyhow behind his desk was a range of canes, long ones, small ones and of all different sizes and shapes, and he was mad with me and told me to stick out my hand, so I did. He then turned around and picked up this very long bamboo cane and said before the whack, "This is going to hurt me more than it's going to hurt you". As he raised the cane up, in a very fast motion in order to hit my hand as hard as possible, the cane got stuck in the polystyrene ceiling tile. Well I turned into fits of laughter, which in turn, obviously, made him more angry, he was red. He pulled it out of the ceiling and put it behind him and picked out a shorter but really thick bamboo cane and he strikes me in anger. As it hits my hand it breaks in two and I'm laughing that much at his anger he just screamed at me to get out of his face, and I was supposed to get one on each hand. Anyway it's just the way things were in those days, never bothered me then nor now. I can remember this though, he never caned me again. His name was Mister Alexandra. KorkyTheKat UK

Now I'll check your football vlog, and other channels, to see if I've been unsubscribed from them too. So frustrating. Luckily I know what days to tune in. Then check out your back catalogue of things I haven't been notified off.
You're right,it's getting quite bad now. I have to keep checking all my subbed channels after being unsuited on a few of them, so many saying they've been unsubbed!👍
@@martindunstan8043 Sorry if this sounds selfish. But in one respect I'm sort of glad it's not just happening to me. It validates what I keep saying. It's happening on many channels. Usually people like Eddy's channels. I think it's because they're just 'normal' and don't KowTow to all the P.C. bs. It's probably my age. I don't KowTow to P.C. bs. Thank God we have some creators like Eddy from a generation below me that feel the same. It gives me hope for my own kids his age, my son at Uni. (STEM fields). He's like me. And my daughter and son in law who've given me an amazing and hilarious granddaughter. She's 2 1/2 and the apple of my eye. I'm so glad they think like me. And yes, I came from the generation that got the slipper, cane, or slap from my teachers if I disrespected them. If I'd gone home complaining to my parents, I'd have got another smack from them. Nowadays the parents, or usually PARENT, would sue the school. We're living in clown world. Young men like Eddy are seriously needed if we have ANY chance of getting back to normality. Thank you Eddy if you see this. You give MY generation hope for our kids and grandkids x👍❤️
