She’s black you are who your father is he carries the seed. Her mother may be Asian and she may cleave to the cultural aspects of that side but her heritage is black Europe and America’s miseducation system of confusion has people walking around saying things like your mixed etc it’s false teaching. When you plant an apple seed dirt dosent grow the male part seed determines the fruit. It’s also very common with our people to cleave to the more socially accepted side of their so called mixed heritage instead of embracing being a Hebrew or so called black because we get shamed here and abroad culturally. For real if you meet any brother or sister and they have another race for a mother they instantly say oh Im Indian, or Chinese etcetc.

I love the focus on her Filipino side here. As a Filipino myself I had no idea- thought she was fully black. People need to acknowledge this, we are a beautiful soulful and welcoming culture. Love Saweetie.... it’s weird the interviewer was “shocked” that she was in touch with her roots. Her mother is Filipina. this could have been more genuine. Saweetie is really navigating these interesting interviews really well.

I don't think she was questioning her culture. Kim Lee is also biracial so she probably didn't have any negative intentions. Kim maybe wasn't in touch w her Asian roots so was surprised that Saweetie was.

She does have a strong mixed/light-skin black phenotype to me, so I never thought she was part Asian. I can only barely see it in Jhene Aiko and only looked it up about Red Man that he's part Korean. I guess I see black features more strongly due to the different features I notice among them anyway.

Aside from being half-Filipino I am impress she has a degree in communications.
Kinda felt uncomfortable with this the interviewer kept mentioning about being Asian and being to korea, japan, Malaysia but in all honesty other Asian countries look down on us. I felt like saweetie felt this vibe too, as even half Filipino it’s like the other Asians fuck with us but not really, maybe just on their own agenda.
You are onto something by saying this. Know your roots, many pinoy have black ancestry and this is a strong reason y many other asian countries look down on you.

I sometimes feel that. We don’t use chopsticks we use spoon and fork but it’s in our original culture to use our hands. That’s considered savage and disgusting. We have a lot of indigenous roots and tribes making us one of the darker Asians. We no longer use our indigenous characters as well. We use a phonetic western alphabet versus characters. There’s still cultural differences even now because Philippines is still no where near economically stable compared to japan Korea or China.
