- A highly requested Sesame Street "Falling baker 2-10" segment. Number 9 will be coming soon! As usual, all these segments have the same characters in each one. For a complete list of the Baker films, go to: muppet.wikia.com/wiki/The_Bake...
- บันเทิง
8 blocks (is he trying to make a castle?), 8 clocks (where is he, a clock store?), 8 puppets (why are they all the same?), 8 puppies (awww cute!), 8 ping pong balls (careful Brian Henson they might hit your head!), 8 raspberry pudding desserts (careful, they're messy when you fall down the stairs!)
Notice one thing: This is the only "Song of" segment that has rhyming things back to back, i.e. 8 blocks and 8 clocks.
This brings back lots of memories.
thanks! this brings me back
This brings back lots of memories!
I am so glad to see these again! That is Seasame Street as I remember it. It is a shame they don't air these anymore.
Thank you SO much! I appreciate it! :)
Eight clocks! I just love the simplicity.
They should bring back this counting game
LOL, I always loved that baker falling down the stairs!! Hmmm, does he have workman's comp?
AWESOME!!!
Watching this takes me back to when I was 7.
0:53 "8 puppets"
Technically their marionettes
Cry about it 😢
Pretty sure that boy with the ping pong balls was Brian Henson.
That is Brian Henson, in fact, in the ping pong balls segment.
Brad Tessier ii
hahaha, this takes me back.
It was definitely Henson singing the dessert choruses, but the falling baker was someone else.
some of that food the Baker annouces sound Yummy!
A couple of remarkable feats in this segment: the kid operating 8 marionettes at once and the camera managing to get a shot of the ping pong balls without blurring them. At first glance I thought that was Will Lee (Mr. Hooper) with the clocks but his voice told me otherwise.
0:43 William Hartnell's one-off guest appearance on Sesame Street, long thought lost forever until Ian Levine located a copy in the possession of Oscar the Grouch.

I'm pretty sure it was also William Hartnell in the 10 triangles segment.
He was also the one in 6 squares and 7 circles
According to Muppet Wiki
Finally, a baker melodically announced that segment's number of desserts, and fell down a flight of stairs. Jim Henson provided the voice of the baker, while stuntman Alex Stevens played the character on screen.
I just showed this to my 2-year-old son! He laughs histerically at the falling baker, and this was way before his time!
The only thing I remember about #1, which I only recall seeing ONCE when I was 3 years old (so that would be 33-34 years ago) is that a boy lifted up his shirt and said, "one belly button."
1:22 8 blast-berry thing desserts
Yes, IN FACT, in the #4 film, he actually made BEVERAGES--Four root beer floats, and does he EVER LOOK MESSY AND DIRTY, after falling down the stairs! That was the only time he had beverages(sweet, though, of course), and not food.
This is some pretty trippy stuff. This scene here and all scenes like it are perfect examples of how even educational shows like this one can be so trippy, you'd think the show producers were on drugs when they made them.
You mean "Falling Baker 1-10" segments.
I've actually seen the one for 1.
What I remember is 1 turtle, 1 belly button, and the baker with "1 Wedding Cake"
It wasn't a turtle. It was 1 bird and 1 cow
This one was my favorite of all 10 because of the clocks and the puppies
That is definitely Henson's voice. Plus, he's listed in that role at IMDb. The actor is Alex Stevens.
Like the other Baker clips, I remember this fondly. However, the reason I'm watching it now is because of the date today - 8/8/08!

Funny as hell.
Sad to hear that there are people out there who don't know this stuff....:)
I believe the man juggling 3 balls (from Baker #3) is Jim Henson. I think it's likely the baker is Frank Oz.
It's probably because you didn't know that nobody ever really gets hurt in these skits.
Frank Oz did not do the voice of all the Muppets on SS. He did Bert, Grover, and Cookie Monster to name a few but not all. Jim Henson did Ernie and Kermit for instance.
good thing he wasnt carrying "8 sizzling hot fajitas!"
That baker always fazed me
Good..................
I know! I recorded all these segments 21 years ago on an 80's VCR in slow speed WITHOUT cable!
Yes, It was the #9 skit
That raspberry “pudding” was probably junket
I agree they might as well do the same for the Cow, turtles, fish, frogs, cats, and the mice, (but not the crocks those were puppets and the spooky spiders they like dark places.
Eleven watermelon cakes!
0:42 always reminded me of Pink Floyd's song "Time"
Yeah, Rowlf was in #9 - his head was poking out through a large hole in a wall, and 9 red light bulbs were mounted on the wall in a circle around him. "NINE lights" was Rowlf's line, as the kids counted, each light bulb lit up in turn.
The scene reminded one vaguely of a shooting gallery, with Rowlf's head in the middle!
That's if the Number of the Day is 8.
You're my hero, mstatz

@@crystalleahey9415 ?
I always feel sorry for the baker.
yay my favorite number 8 Because octopus have 8 arms
What does that baker do, slip on a patch of ice, or something? He should be wearing ice grippers. lol
8 blocks (nice structure) 8 Clocks (Oh God! It’s Clocks-R-Us) 8 puppets (Line those up for a parade) 8 puppies (Ya know you could give them away by making people adopt them 8 ping pong balls (Careful Brian Henson!)
That's one of the Baker's better spills. :}
1:13 8 Ping-Pong Balls!
you sure about that? that is interesting
The eight clocks guy could pass for the first doctor
Who?
Allen Booth Oh, I see what you did there!
I WONDER IF THE BAKER BAKED ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES HIS CAKES BEFORE HE WOULD DO HIS FALLS?? ;0
does ANYONE else notice how the kids can never sing the second to last number on the right pitch? they always mess it up!
The baker in the end sounds like the guy who does the voice for Kermit the frog.
Was that Buck Owens opening the door to "8 Puppies!"?
Eight clocks? I guess you will not lose track of time anytime soon!
I saw this when I was 4 and now I'm 43. Until now I never noticed the baker didn't use his own voice. I never even noticed it was Ernie's, Kermit's, or Jim Henson's voice.
8.....bits... 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8!
No it's not! It's Jim Henson's voice. Oz didn't do all the voices either. Oz did Bert, Grover and Cookie Monster and Henson did Ernie, Kermit and Guy Smiley.
I also remember the piggy bank boy only having (and saying calmly) one penny. The baker had 1 wedding cake!
Sorry about the duplicate...I didn't know it took several minutes to come up.
8 puppies!! whee!!!!!
Hey, baker, look out out for that first step; it's a lulu!
8 ping pong balls! wow!
You're not old enough to remember these but a bunch of these films were made between 1969 and 1970. They introduced each number up to 10 and played a film of someone counting a number of sommething there.
You're right about the man juggling the 3 balls. That is Jim Henson, but the baker is not frank Oz.
I love the 8 puppies!
Me too, there so darn cute!😍
The Little Boy shouting "8 ping PONG balls!" is none other than Brian Henson, Jim's son.
Oh yeah Jim was the man in the 3 segment
When will somebody upload the pinball count song for number 8?
Hmm.. I'm starting to notice a pattern here.
How cute was Brian Henson in these.

Did I just get trolled?
I think the baker is Jim Henson, it certainly sounds like him. I know it was funny when he fell down the stairs & always spilled everything all over the place, but still I hope he was ok after that.
@vidman1976 The baker's name is Alex Stevens. You can find him on IMDB(dot)com.
He was also the stunt coordinator for the movie Superman!
raspberry pudding?
@vidman1976 He's trained to fall in such a way that he doesn't get hurt. You have to go to clown school to learn such things.
You do know that there IS a segment like this for the number 1, don't you.
Yes! It contains 1 penny, 1 bird , 1 wind up toy , 1 Cow , 1 Belly Button and the dessert is a Wedding cake
1:13 Ping pong balls😂😂
8 ping pong balls (careful, they might hit you Brian Henson)!!! :)
Um that's not Jim Henson. It's his voice but that's not him actually doing the free fall down the stairs.
How do you make raspberry pudding?
Great stuff, who is the man with the clocks?
ahhhh! dammit! 8 cobras!
It is! It is the one and only famous Jim Henson!
According to Muppet Wiki, Alex Stevens played the baker, while Jim Henson only did the voice. Just letting you know.
No, only one or two are on the Sesame Street: Old School DVD's (vol. 1 & 2).
1:01 What's with the guy looking at special things?
Puppies
mstatz is right. The clumsy baker is a professional stuntman named Alex Stevens.
That's #9.
@mstatz sorry it was Henson
It's Henson's voice dubbed in but the man falling is NOT Henson!
Natanael Eduardo Blanco
It got removed because the user who posted it got banned but there's another copy of it on here.
Who's the guy at :40 with the 8 clocks? He looks like the First Doctor.
1st Doctor? Doctor Who...?
There have been so many people lately who have been leaving comments under this particular video stating the wrong info. about who does the voices of the Baker and other characters. I keep correcting everyone but apparently no one is reading my comments. I've been suspecting lately that people out there are just pulling my leg!
mstatz are all the 9 bakers skits available on dvd? in like a sesame street classic collecton
