I think combo trials are useful in a sense that they show you a lot of things your character can do. For example whenever I pick up a new character in BBCF, I do the combo trials first to get decent understanding on some of the moves that what they do. And after that go to practice mode to lab more useful and optimal combos

If there were a word I'd use to describe Under Night's combo challenges, I'd call them "Fundamental". There are more optimal ways you can play these characters, but the combo challenges are a good launching point. The thing they do well is give you combos that are reasonably doable on-average and lay the ground-work for what kind of game you wanna be playing with certain characters. I do agree though that the tactical trials are by far some of the best fighting game tutorial content out there. It is incredibly well laid out and most importantly very quick to skim through, making the learning feel like less of a hassle.
Enkidu has good pressure & strings with free plus frames from conditioning, but getting in on characters in this game is rough when you're Enkidu. We honest hard-working men out here.

Enkidu is the character that honestly got me into fighting games. Playing a cracked copy of UNIST and playing against my friend’s Walstein before releasing it was a lore fight was just the best.

Yeah, except Unist/clr have been out long enough that optimal routes are easy to obtain. The flexibility is appreciated though, especially for more casual players.

Important changes he got for UNI-Clr was 66C is now multiple hits and can't be shield blocked to punish anymore... before if you shielded this, similar to shielding jump in attacks, it would increase your landing recovery and prevent you from special move canceling. Now you can very easily cancel into divekick or wait until landing to go into rekkas or parry. Last hit of A rekkas has longer untech time, so you can finish combos with more damage and still get oki. The other important change was Increase 22B. 22[B] gives Enkidu a veil off setup midscreen to strip vorpal easier, and really opened much better/higher damage combo routes for him. Honestly though fighting Hilda, Vatista, Londrekia, Yuzuriha, Merkava, Chaos or Carmine is a nightmare in general, but fighting these matchups as Enkidu is hell itself. Every other matchup is pretty fun, I think the funnest matchup is Akatsuki... lots of interesting interactions here trying to outplay each other.

People do actually do trial combos in game, as this game is similar in melty blood as in combos are super recommended and can do more damage than simply doing raw supers every few seconds. But that's my opinion.
@@Dreikoo yeah idk where that guy was going with that point. There are some chars that do have good combo trials though. Nanase 4-2 is literally her optimal bnb (excluding weird situations) and Yuzuriha had a bunch of useful bnb combos, though I think she has new optimal routes entirely in CLR.

Games which aren't out in arcades long enough have no idea what to put in the combo trials. What they should do is just update them with patches or just put a video feature that links you to an official youtube channel that has updated BnBs or something when a game is very fresh.

There are better, more optimal combos, but most character's combo trials have the basic building blocks. Orie, for example, has a bunch of extensions for oki after 214B 2C, but the game teaches you 214B 2C 4C 214B which is a strong damage ender. And the 6B 2A trial is optimal afaik off her standing overhead. There are other things that are totally not worthwhile though, like yuzu's VO route.

Man Getting in with Enkidu is probably one of the most pleasing things I have done in a fighting game. I have 100% almost every fighting game I have had played. Enkidu is by far the most fun and easiest combo character wise but the MOST hardest character to get into face to other opponents. I'm salty they never put him in BlazBlue Cross Tag Team.
enkidu us literally slayer from gg he has bad neutral, and has a tuff way of getting in but when getting in is really good because majority of the time you'll be there for the round but a counter hit like slayer from gg is like game over with the bar as well. also enkidu doesn't have the best mix ups because they are unsafe and very slow but its not too bad because you can make yourself safe with that stomp special.

In UNI, each character has their own rhythm for their combos. So literally playing another character has you learn new rhythms
The pinnacle of a character's strength being relative. Enkidu can certainly kick plenty of ass, but Melty Blood characters are insane.
I really like combo trials in general in all games to figure out what works! trying to find what links with what completely blind is a headache

It depends on the starter. She can do 4k+ with 100 meter off her 5B or off 3C with the right routing. And Counter hit ic5c is party city.
