    No Bahamian politician today have the balls and stands up for this country the way Mr. Pindling did. "why go to the vice president when i could go to the President." Bahamians dont care what color you are or where you come from they will set you straight.

    A comment earlier said brilliant--I beg to differ. This clearly is a master politician's way of averting and avoiding the issue(s) at hand. The former PM knew why he didn't want to be questioned by Brian Ross, one of the most decorated investigative reporters the world has known. Simply, he would have been exposed. His apprehension and nervousness in this interview leaves much to be desired.

    • @m.a.a.t.7449
      @m.a.a.t.7449 10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      He's on international television. Nerve is expected. Even if true it would not be shame full. If we treated addiction we wouldn't have drug problem. If you disagree then we need not to be bias and allow drugs like alcohol, nicotine, and sugar (yes sugar kills just as many people if not more {estimated at 38 million}) to be consumed at any time. The same US government ship their radioactive cigarettes throughout the world. One of the largess drug traffickers in US history CIA agent Berriman Seal was found to have the president Jed Bush's personal cell phone number. So please don't believe everything the media tell you. He need not entertain a man that is only looking to tear him down when the US has their very own corruption that connected to their own leaders of the highest ranking. Look up the CIA plane that crashed in Mexico that supposedly was transporting prisoners but it turned out to have around 400 tons of cocaine. Please notice a political ploy by the US when you can. Note that one man stood up in a dark time and gave Bahamians a reason to smile again. Note that he was never connected with drugs or drug smuggling. Treat the problem don't ostracize an element o f the problem. If you have a fire it would be best to remove the heat. Its unrealistic to think that we could stop people from doing as they wish. The desire cannot be squelched. Heroin was once used for head aches and opium parlors were as frequent as bars in the US. Learn your drug history and you'll see that this entire ''war on drugs'' is a waste of resources and lives. One drug bust does not save lives, it decreases supply, while increasing demand, raise prices and make the rich drug dealers richer.

So if our nation was anti drug then why did our military not put a stop to it once and for all. We certainly had the power to do so, even the US would have assisted. Food for thought there. How dare they attempt to fault The Bahamas for struggling with exactly the same thing the U.S. was struggling with - and still struggles with today? This was a proud moment for Bahamians, rest assured.
