@@aun5870 they are not mistake because sangkran it is important day among 3 day of Khmer new year.... Or chaul chnam thmey. By the way in the past before spread out of internet Khmer always use sangkran word as much as chaul chnam thmey like use In calendar , use in traditional song , they alway link chaul chnam thmey and sangkran together, it not new word. By the way you said we steal songkran from you, do Thai new new year have different activities or ceremony on 3day? Or play traditional game on new year ? How about home decoration , do Thai use star as decoration?

Wow... Sangkran or sangkranti is not origin from Thai or other countries from southeast Asia region. This word from sanskrit. Oppp... That why you can't take title in UNESCO as Thai songkran. You just register as songkran in Thailand.
