@@KimbleMcCann75 - well spotted! I was weened on Wax Trax. I use Paul Barker’s Assmaster pedal on many of my jams as well. Him and Josh at Malekko make awesome gear. Super nice dudes to boot.
There were a few kit-flips here but mostly just opening up decays a bit, more overt kit-flipping is certainly on the menu though. Can’t wait to dive deeper.
@@thundergate4438 I read some people complaining that the sound pallet of the Perkons is limited and that the compressor is noisy but you make it sound great here. It was a tough call for me between the Perkons and Syntrx 2 but I've wanted an EMS Synthi forever and this is probably the closest I will get.
@@Bata9999 I hear you - had a similar thought process, but ultimately the Perkons pallet limitations seem to be squarely where I strive to get to with drum synths. It sounds huge immediately and kit flipping tweaking is too fun. I want a Nord drum to bang on next to it! X
It wore at me a year or so before I put some things on the chopping block and bit the bullet. I was struggling to achieve with what I had, exactly what this beast delivered. I'm a hands-on jammer and this is the must fun machine in quite a while.
Very well done! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Danm dude, Sounds incredible. Love the industrial vibes in this.
🙏 Perkons likes to be weighty. X
Kinda like “Twitch” era Ministry but spacier…⚡️

@@thundergate4438- sick!! Love that album and this gear & these sounds here!
Just a tip. Make some tweaks to the kit and save several variations. You can switch them on the fly for even more craziness 🤩

literally what I want to be able to do erica synths did an amazing job with perkons
It's a killer, focused machine - gonna explore more drone scapes next I think. Thanks for checking out the jam. X
Nice jam dude! The Perkons bangs like no other drum machine 👊🏽 and the stellar looks awesome! 🤩
Cheers! I need to get back amongst this setup. Been struggling for jam time lately. X

Was tapping my feet along, good stuff!
So dope, my Perkins arrives this afternoon!!!
Awesome to hear and thank you! It’s a great machine and hands on. I hope you have fun!.
Wow this is superb
Hey hey thank you so much! I've got much more programmed now, such a great machine. X
Nice blue perkons!
It’s a very pleasing colour - I feel like a 60s henchmen baddy working in an underground bunker on this thing.
Damn that’s a killer groove.
Cheers! I love working with just the four voices - forces me to Parma lock and get wild results.
Infectious groove, nice.
🙏 I’m definitely going to work it into a set. ;)
Super dope!
Cheers! I am loving this thing - now I want a Syntrx II of course. Dig your patching vids. X

Nice! ❤
Cheers! Can’t stop messing with this thang.
Hört sich ziemlich amtlich an 😋
Still learning, but it definitely brings the Thunder!
Genius \m/
Awe shucks! Can’t stop tweaking this machine. X
There are not many bits of kit worth $2K USD (let alone a drum machine), but the Percons might be the exception that proves the rule.

@@thundergate4438 It is a lovely jam!
Are you Rezz??
No, but she has some interesting music going on.
