These tutorials are incredibly clear and concise. I downloaded the trial AutoCAD 2 hours ago and I am already finishing my first floorplan thanks to you. Mr CAD in Black, you deserve a medal!
How do you go about determining the exact locations of stuff he skips over? Like when he draws the cutting lines for 2 or 3 of the doors and windows and then jumps forward and doesn't explain where exactly the rest of the lines go? I'm finding myself having to eyeball it most of the time.
I think I don't need to go to the f**king boring lecture any more, you are my professor, please keep updating, your 10 mins video saved my 3 hours sleepy time.

tomorrow I have a competition country wide.I have the basics on AutoCAD 2d but this tutorial is really helpful for me to have an advantage on the event..for example-with what I should start drawing? ans is exterior wall...this video has answered this..& just like that other questions were also answered by this video that is you.I've seen both part 1 & 2 both of them was really easy to understand... Many many thanks from the bottom of my heart for creating such a tutorial..keep it up..
Wow! I am really happy that you liked my video and the way I explained. I just tried to make easy to draw a floor plan just knowing to use some commands. I wish you the best luck for the competition. Take care :)
i'm a freelancer and I saw job post of switching sketch building and house design and thee only thing I need to do is transfer files into CAD and I love learning more about it and I'm thinking also to push through fine arts because I just enjoyed. Your tutorials and tips is very helpful.
+Airish Jane Cruza I am glad to hear that you enjoyed learning these tutorials, even you don't need for your job. I just try to keep them as simple as possible, due to the fact Autocad is a problem for a lot of people. Good luck for you :)
Thank you very much sir!!!!!!With these tutorials i am very much clear about my small drawings. But one thing i would like to tel you is ... now i am a learner....you showed me half of the dimensions that i had drawn but then you suddenly completed your outer and interior walls in the first part... i faced a problem in it ... so i request you to help me in it... Thanking you
Great work, I use Autodesk Fusion 360 for engineering design purposes, however, these videos have been fantastic! Last time I used Autocad was in the Year 2000, this has been a good refresher and very useful indeed.

I have a question, i only started learning recently, i noticed that the doors in the middle of the building, you picked a diffrent point from where your copy starts and that u also potitioned them diffrently. the left door is at the back of the opening, and the door on the right is at the front of the opening, if that makes sense. is there a reason for it? it's at 8:20
I used the auto cad with out help i builded a 3d house and i dont know how to use it 😂😂😂 now im studing architecture I always use this Cooool app gd luck for all
well, when you use command trim. you can type Tr nd then double click on the right button or double click on the space bar and then you can choose the lines you want to be trimmed , i think this way is faster
im confused.. you cut the openings of doors at 900(1:28),then when u draw the door u didnt add the dimension of the doorjamb. now when i copied the door to the FP,it didnt fit exactly on the 900 cut..wew..the thing is door+doorjamb=1000 and the door cuts u made at the FP is only 900.. how come that it fits exactly when u copied the door to the FP? shud i adjust my dimensions?doorjamb + the door itself?.. sorry for bad english mate..hope u get my point
Hi +equilibrium. In fact, I drew the door width as 800 (4:30), and then with both doorjamb makes the 900mm. You can also check the dimensions in the pdf file I provided in the description. Let me know if you fixed it.
i've following the same floor plan you made, but it misses the window. whats the dimension of the windows? this is a great tutorial by the way, it's well explained!
