- Yorkshire Water // What we're doing to reduce storm overflows
We hear and understand your frustrations about pollution in Yorkshire’s rivers and watercourses. We’re determined to improve our performance and put things right. That’s why, in this episode of The Science Behind, we’re exploring the various efforts our colleagues are making across the region to help reduce storm overflows.
Join our colleague Jag as he travels across Yorkshire to learn more about the schemes taking place. Starting in Whitby, we meet Project Manager Omair, who explains the process of surface water separation. Then, we head south to Leeds to look at Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDs) with our Senior Project Manager Sarah. Next, we move east to Hull to discover more about storage tanks with Hollie, our Asset Planning Sponsor. Our journey wraps up in Pontefract with Simon, our Lead Project Manager, who shares plans for an integrated constructed wetland.

It would be a great help if a large part of profits didn't go to the top management and shareholders There is plenty of cash to fix the issues if outrageous bonuses are not paid .even after total failure !
Stop paying dividends to your shareholders and there will be plenty of money to invest in a new system. I'm sure many of your shareholders would like to enjoy clean bathing waters and drinking water that's not going to make them sick
