I haven't seen too many athletes in any sport whose off-court personality is so different from their playing persona. When I first saw her play, she reminded me of Eastern European athletes of yesteryear who were always very intense, steely and cold because she was just so unflappable. I expected her to have that same personality but it's not even close. She's warm, friendly, lighthearted and engaging. Great player who deserves to be celebrated.
One of my favourite WTA players, for sure. Love her game, love her steadiness and steeliness on the court.
