- It seems like every day there are warnings about scams and people are wary if they receive something suspicious either by snail mail or email. A detailed survey asking lots of personal questions was sent to a Knoxville house a few weeks ago, the homeowner was worried about being scammed so she reached out to WATE's Don Dare.

They asked full names and DOB and annual income, how many bedrooms and bathrooms your house has
I’ve thrown away two online requests, one rather large paper form, and today one post card requiring under penalty of law. If the census worker shows up I’ll politely tell him or her to remove themselves from my perimeter under penalty of law for trespassing.

We just got one, and we filled it out begrudgingly... but I'll be honest, as an American, I'm very sickened and completely pissed off with the verbiage used in the questionnaire... and honestly, if they wanted more ACCURATE answers then they would give us more options relating to identity instead of just "male" and "female", and options in regards to driving... some people work swing shift, or have different times to commute... but they only wanted one space... honestly it DOES look like a scam... and the fact is, this was a bullshit questionnaire anyway you look at it... It won't help anyone the way they believe it will... not with such limited ways to answer what they apparently deem important...
Answer how many people live in your house hold and plead the fifth to all questions, and ask census worker to show you in the U.S Constitution where the Government gets it authorization to demand our cooperation other than people in the house hold.? If you still think the Census is a good idea after watching the video. Just ask the japanese americans about the internment camps they were forced into durning ww2 without committing any crimes other than being japanese americans. And the Government used the "Census" to help find them
Kanari Mentis, I find that very hard to believe considering the survey doesn't ask you for your bank information. Perhaps the money was taken by some other information you put out there or maybe your bank screwed up. But I assure you, it had nothing to do with the Census survey. I promise.
