i absolutely love my rush 12 2.0. its such an amazing bag. i just love watching videos of people talking about them because i love looking at the bag haha
does it pack out beyond its 24L stated? Bcus it has like 16 compartments or something.. i did look at the Rush 24 (37L) but i feel its too big? ... Rush 12 might work bcus i'm asian so smaller built.
@@JC-wj3hx the rush 24 is definitely way too big for every day life. the 12 is still plenty big and packs everything I need for daily use. I'm a tall guy and it looks totally fine on me not small at all.
@@demounit sorry just saw this comment ... Thanks for the advice... I'm leaning towards the Rush 12 becus i'm asian ... But the main compartment is like only 21L? Which is really small haha.. bcus I'll use it as an EDC n one travel pack for everything else .. but oh well. Might check it out when I manage to find it haha
I just got the Rush 24. I haven't used it much, but it's been amazing so far. The organization, combined with the larger size, makes it a dream for my use case-as a day pack in the military and as a photography bag in the civilian world.
Finally, someone who understands! Tactical bags = Best toddler bag. I was looking at these two products for the exact same reason as you, we even have the same idea about that dump pouch. Dirty toys and clothes, they're called a dump pouch for a reason! But please; If you're doing a comparison, don't forget to actually wear it and do a side-by-side. Ideally empty and full. Cheers!
Apologies for the slow reply. That's a great idea re the wearing comparison. I may have to do a follow up video :) And where I have especially found the dump pouch useful was in the hospital waiting room where I was waiting for 4 hours, and my daughter had vomited on 3 sets of her clothes. The dump pouch was getting bigger and bigger. (Everything worked out to be ok, but yer the dump pouch was very handy then).
Ive had my rush 24 for around 6yrs give or take and i use it everyday as my work bag moving from truck to truck in the power industry. Its been on several overseas trips and is perfect as carry on and the inside pockets are awesome for work gear or spare shorts & tshirts , etc incase your luggage runs late . So good im buying a 2nd for the wife ...
It sounds like we have taken our bags through similar tests haha. I'm hoping that your wife's bag will be a different colour to yours as to avoid taking the wrong bag to work ;)
I'm curious.. can a Rush 12 take up to like maybe 26L worth of stuff if packed well? It seems like it could even though its 24L? The Rush 24 is super tempting.. but... 37L is huge... n being Asian, i am smaller build ... so yea... just wondering along the lines of looking good vs looking like a turtle if the pack is too big?
Yer i reckon it will be very hard shoving 26l in it. You can always go down the external pouch option, but the 24 is probably a better choice than the 12 in my opinion :)
I have the Rush 24. I use it when I go to work and I think it's about 8 years old. I accidentally broke one of the pull tabs on the main compartment zipper, but I was able to fix it by tying a knot.
My laptop is only 15 inch, narrow, and it fit very snugglly. So I don't know for sure, for you with a 15.6 but I reckon it's either going to be super tight or too big. The 24 is a very loose comfortable fit though so that may be the better choice.
All 5.11 bags i have owned had the same issue. The zippers are trash for the price point. The stiching comes out or the zipper just falls off. An that was less than 5 months of normal duty use, which is sitting in the passenger seat with my paper work in it and going back and forth to my locker. Spend your money on military grade bags. It is an actual thing. A surplus assault pack can be had for as low as $24 and is almost indestructible with ykk zipers.
@@jack_powell Doesn't matter what they use if they fall out or fall apart. Check the zippers on a surplus assault pack or field pack they are not what 5'11 uses. Chinese zippers arent the same as B compliant ones.

I hear you. Its a weird addiction that we have ;) I also love tech review videos
I feel you 😅. I have both the 12 and 24. Love watching their videos.

Yer it's versatile. It can handle delicate electronics to rough heavy stuff. A good all purpose bag

@@suburbangardenshed yea , going to get her the black one , she won't carry cammo 😂
My zip bursted lomg ago, but the fabric is closer to being too weak now, over 10 years of heavy use already 😅
Nice, I still have a bit of catching up to do, and I'm still in tact so far :)

Nice fix. I broke a zip on another bag and I fixed it with a cable tie haha. 8 years is definitely a good run so far :)

I guess we have just had different experiences with our bags. We can agree to disagree :)
5.11 bags only use YKK zippers..
