    Just think-- Back in the day, it would be Penn State-Oregon in the Rose Bowl, Texas-Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl.... Then everybody would vote WHO'S #1 after it's done.

      Yep. So much better now! They get to figure out who's number 1 on the field. Don't know why anyone would yearn for the days of sports writers declaring a champion.

      @charlessnyder9684 They're student-athletes numb-nutz. It isn't a professional sport and all the other student-athletes suffer flying around the country year round for "Conference" games.

      It is totally a professional sport now with NIL and Transfer Portal. It's essentially minor league football. The days of school loyalty and high student athlete graduation rates are gone. I was a photography major and excelled, but camera shops didn't sell my likeness on Nikons.@patokev3691

    PSU making it to Indy without having to beat one team that matters perfectly encapsulates the new era of CFB.

      @ryanxia1915 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      You could say that for almost every team from big ten west division before this “new” era. What matters is that we didn’t lose to teams that we were not supposed to lose to and that encapsulates the new era of CFB.

      There are no great teams in college football this year … lots of good teams. Some of those teams who beat a team that matters, also lost other games (some multiple), became they didn’t show up each week to play. The whole season matters …

      Who has anybody beaten? It took Georgia 8 OTs to beat 7-5 Georgia Tech. Bama has 3 losses and they are now getting praise for beating a terrible Auburn team 28-14. Ooh...impressive. Miami has almost lost to about 4 bad teams, and today they lost to a bad team. You can do this for every team.,,but Oregon. And they are going to lose to us next Saturday!
