- It's been nearly a year since my last collection update so I thought I'd share my entire collection with you.
Any collection videos after this will be from this day onwards because this is getting way too long! haha!

These are adorable! How long have you been making bracelets + whats the oldest in the collection? I've been knotting for 2 years and I only have like 50 good ones! XD
I’ve been knotting for about 18 years! And I think the oldest in the collection is the red, yellow, white and blue one near the beginning with no pattern. It’s about 8 years old I think!

Do you mean like how to tie it onto your wrist or how to make the bracelet?

How do you start and end your kumihimo and do the ties?
I just do knots on either end and make it long enough to actually knot the cord around my wrist. Some people do covered loops and braid out the ends though.
@@MegMakesCrafts thank you! I'm searching a lot nowadays, how to make start end and ties as kumihimo original accurate as possible, but I think as they weren't woren as bracelets, I won't find anything. But thank you and I loved your Arizona inspired kumihimo
@@beatlesallys7815 I expect they originally were just a way to braid rope cord but I could be wrong!
@@MegMakesCrafts they were, the flat and round ones, used to tie samurai armour together, for the hilt and also as a scabbard, as they wrapped the kumihimo around the blade and this is why I think I won't find anything 😅 and they are also used as a "belt" on the kimono

Swastika was originally a symbol of the sun in slavic mythology and culture. The Nazis saw it without knowing what it meant and used it and completely destroyed the actual meaning of the symbol which annoys me so much because i love swastikas and I wear them and people always say that I SHOULDN'T. Educate yourself and then come talk, actually than u SHOULD come and apologize.

Yes! Many parts of the world still use it to this day as a symbol of peace and religion. I didn’t go into depth in the video about it but someone had asked in the comments about it and I had explained it at that time. It’s rather unfortunate that so much of western culture only knows it’s implication as a hate symbol - despite the two symbols not being entirely the same- but I have a feeling you already know that. Ultimately though, I decided to keep this one in my collection but not on my wrist as I don’t know enough about the religions that still use it and it’s origins to properly educate on it and it’s negative view in the western culture I live in. To this day it still remains in my collection. I apologize for not giving a thorough explanation in the video and perhaps offending you, that was never my intent!

all your bracelets are soo long
😂 I think that’s just the perception of the camera, the way I was moving them to show. I have small wrists and so my bracelets generally err on the short side. Most of my bracelets are 5 - 5.5 inches in length +ties. 🙃
