I am a retired professor of Sanskrit .I am now 71 plus . When I was a student of class six , I read a story that was included in our English syllabus . A certain man came to Jesus and threw a question to him - How many times a man should forgive his neighbour ? Seven times ? Jesus replied - seventy times seven . Indeed the two words Jesus and Forgiveness are synonymous . Jesus the son of God descended on our earth to preach the gospel of forgiveness , love and brotherhood . But we cannot understand him , we cannot follow him . Because however advanced we may be intellectually or technologically , we seriously suffer from the meanness of heart or lack of a sympathetic heart . We are instead possessed of fertile brain sometimes functioning as a Devil's workshop . The video with the caption Faithful God Forever is a very beautiful Christian song worthy to be listened to at all places and at all times not only by the Christian's alone but also by the followers of other faiths. The singer is Joicy Lamnunnem who is a respected lady of the North-East India and reputed as a gospel singer mainly in her native language and English also . She is highly praised for her melodious voice by the Christian folk of the region . In her song I can notice a fervour of heart in which she has enshrined Lord Jesus . Her whole-hearted submission to the Master is heart-touching , heart-softening and heart-melting . What strikes me most is that she sings in a very simple and straightforward style . I feel myself blessed when I hear her songs particularly this one and the one captioned Cross . I do not know her mother tongue. I think language is not a factor ,what matters most is the feeling coupled with sympathy . From West Bengal I convey my hearty love , best wishes and kind regards to this devotee of Christ .May Lord grant her a long life free from all troubles .
