So many location captions are wrong. A Boston police motorcycle in Indianapolis? A car with Massachusetts plates in Napier, WV? Just two of many.
Come on, the one for Indianapolis has a Wooster Police motorcycle!
Why show almost every picture twice?
Great video! But what really put it over the top??? The MUSIC!! 👍
very interesting thanks for posting
Fun to watch. Great music. Today it would be all Chargers and Mustangs.
The one for Napier WV has a Mass. plate
There are not any big inclines like in the photo from Chesapeake,VA
@Dread History where do you find these photos????????? My Uncle Lee Torsey was killed around 1949 or 1950 on March 22nd in Tilton/Franklin NH by a drunk milk truck driver. That was my mom's birthday and she never got over it, to this day! I found a newspaper article from not long after Uncle Lee's death stating a couple were in an accident on the same spot as him and that the state should check out that location for safety! I've never been capable of finding any photos of the accident, just a newspaper article describing what happened. It would be amazing to get photos so we could have some closure as a family. Thank you so much!
Interesting that the accident victim in "San Francisco, California" at 14:05 is being loaded into an ambulance (or other professional vehicle) that's wearing a Massachusetts license plate...
Many, many wrong locations in the captions. How about the Boston, MA police motorcycle in Indianapolis?
No doubt the police in Indianapolis were busy that day, so the Indy PD had to call Boston for some help. Yeah, that's it... 🙂 @@jimgriffin9924
I owned a '57, '58 an '59 also 1960 Chevrolet all with no seat belts.
99% of these accidents are from CA., yet I see someone made up locales where these were supposedly taken. Very poor.
A couple of those crashes were used on two different streets in this video.
7:36 and 7:46 seems to be the same crash.
Yeah Theres Lots Of Repeats ALL The Way Through. Did They Think That We Wouldnt Notice ?!
made up locations nice try
1960 Chevy car smashed down the driver from review we were given and I believe it was about 19 minutes and 45 seconds. It might have been 9 minutes and 45 seconds ish. I guess that was a mad scientist back in time first time traveler. So they were all interesting old cars and he used the same crash on two different streets. But no big deal and all that. It must have taken a long time to hunt out these pictures. Thank you for the effort but it's quite saddening to know that in a number of the reason for the ambulance to be in a hurry because the occupants were going to the morgue. Showing them getting what looks like a young girl or a kid out of the passenger side of a 48 Ford or so car. I think that one could have been left out. Couple of times I almost stopped watching it but I watch it all the way through. The audio introduction followed by the music was tastefully and professionally done.
What's with the guy who looks like the Joker at around the 12:05 mark? Nobody else dressed up for Halloween either!
I think this was a brilliantly made video. And bless your heart--I'm glad so many of the comments liked your music--but I didn't care for it. It was "groovy" as someone put it, but it drove me crazy! 😅But clearly I'm in the minority, and I'm glad. Well done you!
the music was not groovy. it was obnoxiously irritating. I turned the sound off.
@@gordonhaire9206 I had to turn it off, too! But read the other comments-people keep commenting on the groovy music!
Kool content and groovy music
Dont forget they had less road rules and laws back then too
Cars did not have seat belts then seat belts camae out about the early 60's if I remember right.
I took a driver's ed. course in 1959. We were shown a much gorier slideshow.
Anyone wants to call me a liar say to my face.
I would much rather be in a Head on Crash in a 40's, 50's, or 60's car than the soda cans we have now.
Cars and trucks were built better then but today crumple zones seat belts and air bags save alot of lives
@@cliffordmarshall3592 yes to a certain degree.
With a fixed steering column and standard seat…..you wouldn’t suffer I suppose.
The cars in thoses years were death traps
@larryjolicoeur7169 no they weren't. You never liven in that time or drove those cars.
Sounds a whole lot more likely leftie propaganda than a documentary. All the contributing factors that caused all those accidents are even more prevalent today. I’ve been driving since the 1970s and as technology “improves”, the skills of drivers has gotten worse.
This isn‘t supposed to be a „documentary“, just a picture collection.
Why „lefty“???
Cause
Not one of the cars were vintage, vintage is classified as cars built between 1918 to 1930
I see lots of bald tyres
Weird how close the spectators were able to get to the accident scene!
