Our Boston is great with most animals, can walk past hens and squirrels with only mild curiosity. She does have one thing she will "protect" us from, iguanas.... she goes crazy over them. This was an encouraged/trained behavior though. We have serious iguana problems, they eat the garden and avacado blooms and little seems to keep them away. Pandy is now our iguana patrol and the plants are thanking us.
