What an inspiring video! I loved his quote... "the pain in workouts is temporary.. the feeling of having accomplished it is much greater.." I love swimming and I always absorb skills and drills from coaches and Olympians on youtube. Super exciting sport.
keep in mind: swimming to maintain mental health is great, but also recognize that once in a while, taking a break and *not* swimming will also keep your mental health in check. sometimes swim gets very overwhelming. don’t be afraid of taking breaks. just be ready to give it your all when you’re ready to get back in the pool :) edit: i just got back in the water after a rather extensive break (2 and a half months) and it’s stressful. but to everyone getting back into the water, turn your stress into motivation. make that stress your motivation to push yourself to get back into your groove. and if you can’t, don’t worry! there is no time limit on breaks. give it your all, work on yourself, and you will see improvements when you’re ready to make them ❤️

Thanks Fares, amazing having such a legend with you and the both of you for teaching so well and always with a smile 😄 and shalom and salam alekun from Israel
Uncle Jesse would be so very proud of Nathan Adrian for doing something good. The swim team at the Hazzard County High School should take note of the latter's methods.
Nathan's freestyle looks amazing! I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. Have you ever used any of these custom meal plan tools? I got one from Next Level Diet to help me maintain my physique and I actually like their plans. Was just wondering if you've heard of or tried any of them yourself. Thank you!
There's little useful content on swim advice. This is more like an inspirational video about Nathan. At least title this video as such so we don't lose time trying to find swim tips for getting faster.
4:42 tell me you're are swimmer without telling me you're a swimmer. Other types of working out with that intensity will leave you paraplegic for a week 😁😁
@@FaresKsebati I actually just asked on reddit a couple days ago, everyone says to workout your core in swimming, but none of the youtube coaches teach about HOW to engage the core; there's so much on EVF, head position, streamline etc etc etc, but no videos specifically on how to engage the core and why it's necessary/useful
@@YSFmemories Nathan touches upon this in the video - he talked about the bracing done when lifting weights, more easily felt when using a belt. Technically this bracing is called the valsalva maneuver. One of the essential concepts is expanding the abdominal muscles rather than contracting. If heavy compound weightlifting isn’t your thing, the yoga teach Simon Borg Olivier teaches how to not only do so without weights, but also how to leverage this activity to be both strong and relaxed, using the core to manipulate the spine one vertebrae at a time.

Nathan's freestyle looks like an art. I haven't seen a stroke more beautiful than his.

06:00 man! How can I like this video more than once? “….because it is home…” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nathan is very energetic and positive. Do you have a longer underwater video of Nathan swimming freestyle vs the shorter clips in this video?
Check out the one he did with speedo. It's on youtube i think

Swimmer physique is real after spending years in the pool doing thousands of miles :)
Actually olympic swimmers muscles is build with proper diet and lots of gym time.
Nathan Adrian has or at least had an insane dumbbell press. Over 100lbs each had I believe.
Him , Adam peaty and Caleb dressel are the biggest swimmers I've seen .
This is very good and inspiring. In the app, do you upload the whole session?

Still not sure how to swim faster
How to swim back stroke effect
Seperti Harley D. 1200cc mengajarkan bagaimana motor cub 100cc bisa terbang😅
is he retired or not yet?
So, it is just about drills and core ? 🤷♂️
When it comes down to the foundation of your stroke, that's a huge part of it!
Thanks, but there is no secret here .. plus this is not specific to sprint 🤷♂️

I figured it out. To swim fast you need to clinch your butt-cheeks. :)
