The way Harmony introduced Gaspar at the theater! "This is some messed up French guy" 🤣 "He's always looking for women, and he likes religious women" 😂😂😂
Watching this makes me understand Harmony’s work a little more - he has a weird childlike innocence and fascination with the world and collects little weird anecdotes and characters as he goes. Even his energy and his clothes are like a teen, no obvious responsibilities, no cares in the world and just out wandering aimlessly, looking for fun. What a guy
When I think of Harmony Korine, I think of a man who buys bizarre undesirable decorative knick knacks from the thrift store because he feels sorry that nobody wants them, but he also just sees something in them that most people don't.
@@LiamDoesStuffOfficial I work at a thrift store and I do that all the time lmao, we get a 45% discount where Im at so I'm constantly buying books, I got one yesterday about the usage of hypnosis in dentistry, it's rad
To me harmony seems like a sociopath/pathological liar. I met a lot of people like him and grew up with pathological liars and can tell when they’re lying. Most of his outlandish stories are complete fabrications.
Harmony got beat up in high school and ran off the LA, went to NY and got groomed by Larry Clark the pedophile and Gus Van Zandt funded it all...dude is schizophrenic as fuck and paid people "bonuses" to do fucked up shit for his entertainment... The kid in gummo was allergic to spaghetti and Harmony made him eat it till he vomited and basically made the kid abuse himself for fun. Gummo is a exploitation film after his bad crack addiction and was the turning point for Chloe to break off the engagement
honestly, the best part of Harmomy’s work, so far for me, is his dancing/tapping. i think i may be one of the few and i feel having his formative years shaped in a communal living environment has a lot to do w/ his childlike innocence + creativity

I lived with Harmony from 97' to 01' part of his schtick is making up absurd lies and seeing if he can get away with it. He also had an art show in NY where EVERY drawing that was done was by a street artist, he told them what to draw, then signed his name and watched as the "Elites" clamored for a "Korine Original" 😂. He was fucking insane though. Got off literally abusing ppl. He recorded his neighbor's in Gramercy while they were doing whatever with their blinds open. He would be "canceled" in a heartbeat today. His behavior was Way out. Use to fuck Escorts but he'd cover his bed in plastic and wouldn't let them or him do any "unnecessary" touching. And when he was with David Blaine.... those 2 were just ruthless to women.
@@LiamDoesStuffOfficial yes I actually did. My boyfriend was his best childhood friend. I was there when he was dating Chloe, I was there when him and the pro skater/artist Mark Gonzales or "The Gonz" made videos of themselves picking fights with randoms at bars and filming it. Harms uncle was a schizophrenic, I think Harmony is definitely a sociopath, among other things. Him and David Blaine both slept with Ariana Rockefeller and she left Harms building crying with a ripped dress. I don't know what actually happened. Anyways they were all insane, hilarious but insane. They did WHATEVER they wanted and no one was going to stop them because they had carte blanche during those years. I know they tormented David Copperfield to the point where he started having bodyguards. During those days it was unheard of. Oh at what they did to MaCulay Culkin during the making of the "Bad Son" music video for Sonic Youth, was just mean. That picture book Harm released The Bad Son, well Culkin didn't know a picture book was made until it was in stores. Those pictures were suppose to be just silly private pics. But Harms plan all along was to humiliate Culkin. Benecio Del Torro was another regular at Harms. They did a TON of Herion together.
