California has tons of rivwrs & creeks you dunce of a man. The northern part hosts temperate RAIN FORESTS for crying out loud. Got the attention you wanted....
Watching this in my broke down Sprinter on the A57. I’ve not flooded it 😂 Edit…. 7.5 hours at the side of the road I finally got home at 11pm I was 2.5 hours from home. Also the recovery bloke watches you Tom.
5:47 This is the best way to ford rivers. Setup a bow wave in front of you then ride just behind it where the water is lowest. If you power through with the water over the hood you're risking wiping out your alternator or sucking up some water and hydro-locking the engine. Ride behind the wave, not in the middle of it.
You approach the water, stop for a few minutes so you can see the broken down cars who failed to get through, you have a go and fail miserably and add your vehicle to the few that are already broken down. I thought human beings were intelligent. I was so wrong !
Thanks, Tom, great catches here. More rain on the way over to you today, that Ford will be kicking ass over the next day or two. I would not like to be paying the repair bills for those cars.
Absolutely Fantastic! 00:55 Crank it lady...With an air box full of water...Then let Captain Transit pull your car to pieces 😂😂😂 Oh...This is so much fun to watch! Well done Tom! I wonder what it'll be like when storm Eunice blows through tomorrow? 😃
Have to say I'm kinda impressed how the BMW at 2:24 managed to plane across the ford. It's sheer dumb luck it worked this time but it IS one way of doing it. Even managed to almost kill 2 ducks while doing it.
Is almost 2 months ago when i foud this compilation videos. From the one side i like it, very nice all those cars and bikes run over this lake full of water and make huge waves. From the the other side am thinking that some people are so stupid or dosen't know that a car can't be boat!! the resaults can be catastrophic for the engines if run over this river. If is somewhere there a car service the michanics propably being rich!
Another superb selection. I do feel sorry for the ones that drive sensibly and still conk out but the first one was especially satisfying considering his vanity plate. I'm looking forward to when the ford is deeper and dying in the middle means a flooded interior as well as the engine. Thanks again for another great video.
These vehicles are irreparably damaged right? Or is it a case of waiting for water to leave certain parts of the engine and continuing? I just can't get over how many people decide to plough through.
Not a fatal mistake, If it's petrol you can take the sparkplugs out and get the water out by turning the engine over, diesel you would have to remove the fuel injectors.
If -valves- con rods aren’t bent, it’s a matter of getting water out of cylinders and intake, but most likely they are. That doesn’t mean it’s not repairable, it all depends on how much their owners are willing to pay for a repair ;)
@@BoringOldXboxGamer That's only true if the engine isn't spinning when water is introduced (car is parked and water rises over the engine). In these cases you can expect bent/broken rods and valves as introducing water into a moving engine it may as well be slamming those moving parts into concrete, resulting in destruction.
Tom, I prefer your videos to others of the similar kind because you don’t try and label them in a sensational fashion, etc and in a weird way I find then entertaining and relaxing 🤷🏻♀️. Oh and very much enjoy the BMW and SUV ‘fails’. 👍
Why would it be so many drivers think it ok to run their ordinary cars into a foot or more of water, thus enabling the breathers on their grease filled hot differentials and axles to draw in cold water?
On many of these videos, if you watch cars crossing properly, you can see that the water is only 6 - 8" deep. Driven properly, the water would barely touch the sump never mind air intakes etc. Mindless destruction! I only hope the damage, being deliberate and self inflicted, cannot be claimed on insurance otherwise my premiums are going up the fund these spanners!
pass through a flood once in my lowered Integra, maintained bout 15kmh I switched to neutral and switched of the engine.. let the momentum move till end of flood. it worked no smoke or nothin
Do you have video or picture of the road without water overflowing........ how that black car went off the road 0:20 and back without any problem ??????
The white minibus driver tried so hard to wreck it...... 01:02 hydrolocked the engine & ripped the exhaust off its mountings.....classic.... 02:23 BMW attempted duckocide.......
A thought… The locals may love the entertainment, but the knock in effect could be higher car insurance premiums in that post code due to so many claims being made in that location. The insurance algorithm is indiscriminate of what and how the claim was made. Only that this location has a high claim rate.
They really need to put a sign that reads "Warning: Hydrolock damage to engines (gas/diesel) powered vehicles without a snorkel. Proceed at your own risk"
The thing folk must bear in mind is this: all modern cars are designed aerodynamically so they push air up from the lower part of the bumper, over the grill and bonnet. This means that going at any real speed through a Ford is a terrible idea as this design feature will deliberately throw water up towards wherever the intake may be. Go. Slowly.
Yeah but at 1:29 there's a sign saying "it's 30 for a reason" lmao 😅 council should be sued for having a sign telling you to bang it through at 30mph haha 😅
You cant help laughing at these stupid drivers . Keep up the good work Tom . . Im waiting for some-one to say "I dont believe you wanted to do that " !!
If you see water with ducks in, you would like to think that seeing the ducks in the water would be enough of a warning for anybody with half a brain that this means deep water stay out.
bmw's smart driver? My god, unbelievable.. )
Prob watches TH-cam !!!!!
A rarity indeed.
Well he got the right way eventually
A mechanic should open a shop by this crossing and specialize in clearing out flooded engines
It would have to be a lot more than just "clearing out". Water destroys engine internals.

Excellent! Muppetry of the highest order - cheered me up no end. Hadn't seen anyone drive into the river for a while lol
Floated halfway down the river and lived to tell the tale! Amazing

I REALLY hope that there is also those who know hot to drive in deep water proper way. Me and my 3yo love to watch these. Cheers from Finland!

All freshly washed and clean

I’d put a sign at the V saying “Reservoir This Way” and watch more muppets trying to drive up there😂
