Check your map sensor. I had the same issues been trying to figure it for over a month and found out it was my map sensor. Replace it and problem fix and I bought a second sensor just for emergencies.
@ when it happen I was doing a pull than it started bogging and cut off while driving. Pulled over and just crank no start. When it’s cool down a bit it start right up but die again. I check everything. Coils, plugs, fuel pump, fuses, couplings. After a month or so I decided to change omni 4 bar and voila problem fix.
@@MiguelDsmhappy you got it sorted out. Also an Infinity is a very nice ecu to tune. But if you don’t have proper grounds for the different sensors. You will get a bad reading. As I saw you indicated in the video. I’m at the moment still trying to sort out why my afr gives a bad reading on WOT (at idle it read perfect though). Other than that I’ve sorted out the rest.
It’s a crank shaft position sensor same thing happened to me on the high way it cranked and got fuel but no spark and I plugged in to Evo scan and rpm while cranking was all over the place
I know it isn't something that might want to be a possibility, but just make sure as well when changing the Crank sensor that there's no play in it as well. If for any reason the sensor is chewed up, then unfortunate.
Okay hear me out on this one., I've seen Devin built up quite some Evo's and I remember stuff went out on his Evo builds. One of them was the crank sensor. MAP sensors also tend to break. I think Devin used a 4 bar one from OmniPower. And if I recall they didn't fail on him. Also you running higher power will wear parts down if they are not marked for those numbers/heat. E.g. spark plugs with the right rating. I do recall you putting in new ones but then again they can fail too. Definitely make sure the grounds are sorted, no more fire hazards then etc. Sometimes I see people hardwire fuel system/pump(s) to get rid of inconsistencies in the readings as well. Other things like the battery, alternator, fuel system and brakes etc seem to work proper so that's good. Car seems to run proper too. However to fuel cut was weird but I guess that is due to it reading low numbers on the pressure.
Saw your post on IG earlier guess wrong since apparently it was the crank sensor lol. My 3000gt chewed up the cam sensor a couple of months ago. Do a pull then it dies on you and your struggling to get out of traffic and none of them wanna let you over. And guys behind you shoved so far up your arse you can see the headlights. . Luckily it just required fixing the wires and re-mounting the wires to the timing cover. But just it happening can freak you out a bit, Car going good then suddenly boom total shutdown. Takes you a bit to realize your cars actually dead its just momentum making it sound like its running lol.
A bad coil pack wont stop the motor from running. It will run but not good at idle or under boosting conditions depending on how bad the coil pack. The ecu needs to know the crank position so it knows when to fire the spark on each cylinder. If it doesn't know where the crankshaft is then it wont start.
always something stupid with built cars. but like you said, it's all part of the game. the first couple months are always working out the kinks until it runs mint. unless you're one of those "Car Guys" who has a blank check and lets a shop do it all.
Don't know if u fixed this issue yet... No starting check the fuses under the driver side forgot which one it is it's a engine fuse... had a same issue before for me it was a fuse
Look at the crank sensor homie, youre getting no RPM while cranking. Cars can still run with a bad cam sensor, it will default and look at the crankshaft sensor if thats the case, but it wont do it reversed.
Hey man Sick evo, I was wondering where you got ur Evo 8 engine for ur eclipse that u swapped.I was wondering about doing the same thing and wanted to get an engine from a trusted seller.Thank you
Don’t get down brother you’re living the dream for guys like me who can’t.
Check your map sensor. I had the same issues been trying to figure it for over a month and found out it was my map sensor. Replace it and problem fix and I bought a second sensor just for emergencies.
It's not even connected.
It’s a brand new aem one. Not using the stock one on the intake manifold
My Omni 4 bar took a shit same thing happened to me. Replaced it runs fine now

Map sensor should go in logs if its working or not
Did you check the fuse for the coils? Typically upgraded to 15amps when switching to a COP setup
Fuse was fine. Ended up being crank sensor
@@MiguelDsmglad you got it figured out! Keep up the great work.
I also have an infinity. Most likely it’s the crank sensor. Go on the ecu and see if you’re getting a crank signal when tumbling.
It was the crank sensor lol

That’s exactly what it was
Nice my brother, I’m very happy for you. Motivation for me n my evo 9 💪🏾
Thanks my dude 🙏🏼
We are on a similar setup, I have been struggling with rich afr an continious fuel cuts, havent realized the issue yet
You will get it back on the road, that's fine. It's always the little things that take more time to figure out.
Vdp means you called autozone lol I know because I work there part time.
Check map sensor and iac, had the same issue where car shut off while driving
my eclipse is off road too had a branch go through front grill into rad
Trying to pop start it is a better way than cranking it while you’re on the move. Not saying it would have started your car at that moment
Didn’t even think of that in the moment haha
I would check the MAP and or Coolant temp sensor, both can cause crank but no start!
I know it isn't something that might want to be a possibility, but just make sure as well when changing the Crank sensor that there's no play in it as well.

It's all right my man. My Eclipse been down for a year now
What’s wrong with it?
Had the same issues with my 9 changed both cam sensors ended up being the fuel filter was clogged
check all the fuses.. maybe is the crank sensor fuse.
Driving with no filter is crazy work specially in normal traffic ….
Drew peacock is that you?
Gotta be the cam sync or crank sync. Are y’all using a Hall effect type or oem style or something different?

Yeah I doubt it's a coil pack given it's COP. Could be the PTU except I don't think evos have those. Needs to be something common on all cylinders.
Ended up being a faulty crank sensor. Evos don’t have PTUs
Any issues in the rain with those tires? They’re falken right?
Coming from someone who got stuck on the freeway for over 2 hours, that is a really good thing the city is doing 🙏

Part of the process. Luckily the car is pretty solid otherwise
Don't know if u fixed this issue yet... No starting check the fuses under the driver side forgot which one it is it's a engine fuse... had a same issue before for me it was a fuse
Yes, part of the process, get the gremlins out 😅😅❤
Gotta love it haha
Regardless of how cool a heavily modified Evo is, reliability goes out of the window unfortunately. Can't wait till get it all dialed in ❤
Car is looking mint, sucks bout the first drive. Just curious, I might have missed this but how are the sensors grounded?
Got to love new biulds.. finding all the bugs😮
watching the vid I was like why do the surroundings look so familiar...lol
Any thought as to what’s causing your issue yet?
Man that Evo and eclipse are broken down a lot. 😂
the fog in this video everyone's been talking about
It hurts me how you bled the brakes without a hose to control the brake fluid
Isn't it dangerous to have the turbo open like that?
Just need to get the turbo guard
Damn missing mine now, get rid of that turbo timer.

I ended up finding mine on eBay back in the day. I’m sure you can find a partout at a local shop
@@MiguelDsm Aight Thanks man
Its a 4g63 lifestyle 😂.
5:18 your evo squirtin' like a mfer 🤣
19:09 map sensor isnt connected
That’s the stock one on the intake manifold. Using aem sensor
it wouldve never made it out of the parking lot if the map wasnt connected.
I got a brand new OEM ckp sensor if you want to buy it
I love the build. Looks like a sleeper. Hopefully you can find out what's wrong with it soon.
Why do you still have a turbo timer? That’s like ancient tech
Uhhh what? Turbo timers protect turbos from heat soakback coking the oil in them.
Box engines is agent tech 😂😂😂
It’s been on the car since I bought it. Never cared to remove it but it sure is annoying at times haha
Safety is isn’t ancient
''Don't worry none of these sensor are working'' okay...
Reading and working are two different things lol
The come back will be 🔥
Always 💪🏼
Yikes! 😬
