okay, two observations: 1) This version is faster, thus a pain in the you know what to keep synced with the album version. 2) That was eerie as fuck. It was like listening to a chamber orchestra of ten shinedowns....
as soon as brent smith so much as opens his mouth you can tell he was quite literally born to be a singer
God. Shinedown is amazing. Brent and the whole band are amazing. But brent really nails it every time. IMHO, Brent is the best rock male vocalist in the past 10 years. And a lot of bands cant write as well as shinedown! Cheers fellow shinedown fans!

Love Brent, but maybe you haven't heard Myles Kennedy singing. I think Myles is slightly better than Brent. Brent is an amazing singer anyway. Definitely one of the best

Makes folks proud hes from our hometown of Knoxville Tennessee.. we've had some great talented singers come from outta here such as, Brent Smith, Kenny Chesney, Kelsi Ballerini and another country music singer i cant recall his name( im not into country tgat much) but hes done a good job. Its guys like Brent that help bring attention to the talent here in lil ol Knoxville. But hes definitely a super star and one helluva vocalist along with 3 Talented musicians/singers/songwriters in the band. And the combination of all 4 are almost impossible to beat! Hope to hear you guys for years to come and congratulations you've earned it being,#1 on the billboards!💪🇺🇸💪🇺🇸
My wife and I went to see a KISS concert about 10yrs ago. We were both really pumped for the concert. I had ABSOLUTELY NO idea, the opening act was Shinedown. I went completely mental. My wife knew I had listened to all their stuff at that point, and couldn’t believe it. I think, however, I may have been the only one there who knew them, because I was the only one singing along with them. They were amazing. Bret’s energy filled the stadium, and his voice was perfect. My wife is one of Canadas top classical performers so she knows her “voice stuff”, and was more than suitably impressed. Everyone loved their set, and were asking as to how I’d found them. I explained I had stumbled upon them one day after Shazamming “I’m Alive” from the Avengers movie during my chemotherapy treatments. I’ve loved everything they’ve done since.
He sounds just like recordings. The only other one I've seen like that is Tobias forge, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels and the who. I went with my daughter to see them and it was amazing. They have a good message too.
this whole series needs to be released on CD... these sessions sound better than the actual album because of the studio!!!!! GIMME THE AUDIO FROM THIS in super duper quality

This is what makes Shinedown fans such a family; there is no bitching about how "we were here before this and that", we just enjoy the music. I love that.
I saw them years ago before they were headliners, they opened up for 3 doors down and blew the doors off the place. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen, i'd never heard of them before then and they were better than 3 doors down, which I was a big fan of.
Yeah I saw them when I was much younger and it was amazing, my first concert! they are incredible.
Saw them last December and they still put on an amazing show! Brent's voice is just wow.
I saw them in 2004 when they opened for Van Halen. Now I'm a huge VH fan, but Shinedown put VH to shame!! They were still unknowns really, but they made me a fan immediately!! Been a fan since and see them every tour cycle...at least once lol.
Same here, they opened for Alter Bridge and their music over time for me has overtaken them.
yeah I had the pleasure of meeting Brent and Zach, with a two song set five feet in front of me, they just are one of the most rounded groups ever and there is no better vocalist than Brent Smith
i saw brent back in 2007 at a little acoustic show and we talked for awhile. great guys. talented as all hell, obviously.

I love how Barry brought a second kit with smaller jazz/fusion sizes for this song to give it that softer feel. Even using a dry ride and traditional grip.

Brent Smith came off the Amaryllis tour with a cyst on his vocal cords due to overuse. It's highly possible that this is the cause of the strain you hear.
As a vocalist in my early 40s, my voice is now degrading...I can’t imagine performing every night for long tours...
I can only imagine the toll it takes...

The talent Brent has is beyond comprehension. So incredibly beautifull to listen too, and he sounds as good as ever. I think the best is yet to come from this band, and thats saying alot. This band toches my soul like no other! Listening to them takes me to a better place every time

I know they sing, at the concert I was at Brent came down into the crowd and I saw him singing from 3 feet away, he is awesome.
I was commenting on a thing a lot of singers do which is to switch up how they sing songs, different inflections, pacing or words. I think they do it to spice things up when they get bored of singing the same thing, some times it is cool, some times it sounds a little weird.
But they are the best band to see live in my opinion if only for the energy in the crowd.
