Perhaps one of the best Imperial Guard regiments considering they are an all volunteer force rather than that of pure conscription or warrior culture, and they are more independently thinking armed force compared to other regiments.

It gets even more insane when you get into the behind the scenes politics. There’s one audio drama that shows that a good portion of them know A LOT about chaos and are traitors to chaos and fighting for that they believe. Most the traitors were nobels and gave up comfort and survival for morals.

The Maccabian Janissaries are my personal favorite regiment, but Elysians are definitely #2 tied with Armageddon Steel Legion, I can't really decide which one I like better.
