You may not like the character, but you can't deney that she has an amazing voice. What goes for "her annoying need to have a solo" is her weeknes she has low self-esteem so when she is on the stage she feels good about her self, becauce it's the only place she knows she is good and who doesn't want to feel good about them self every once in a while?
