I was there in Atlanta, yes it was seated for the most part. But the last 20 minutes or so the warriors came out had stirred the crowd up to get up and start dancing. Which was cool. On a personal note, I like sitting because then I actually get to see the performance. When people are standing, moving around, and dancing It's hard to see the show. Just because people are sitting doesn't mean they aren't enjoying the show.
... that said ... I was seated in the section reserved for those of us with physical challenges when I saw them ... and I was far from watching passively ... I don't think I was still for more than moments the entire ritual ...
This is not a performance. It is a Blöt, as they have stated so themselves. Therein is where the power emanates. This is no concert, and definitely not a performance.
This is not hard note to hit. But i feel sorry for Kai when he sings his part, as he has to suffer through it with not enough oxygen. Because that part goes without a single break for inhale. You can see him inhale twice every time during it, but it breaks the rhythm of it. Guess it's unrealistic to sing it live otherwise.
Hopefully they come to Michigan within the next year. I’ll happily drive my heater with no floors to wherever they are. I need to help heal my soul in person. This music is beautiful on the phone but doesn’t quite connect with me as loudly as it could just cause ptsd is iffy.
They need to have this type of concert in the forest on the ground not on a stage, like with all the same sound equipment but on ground level at a slightly down bowl shaped big circle with the crowd on the outermost part surrounding in the middle of a deep forest while everyone's high on mushrooms
i saw them live in Mass. fucking Best show of my life.. It was sold out and i think there was way more people than what the capacity was suppose to be lol.. suppose to be like 3.5k people but easily was double that.. like honestly.
Saw them in Dallas, the venue was terrible. Nobody could see anything. I literally stood on the arm of a couch on the second floor. I almost left. It was really a bummer
so difficult to collect my thoughts......I am amazed, frightened, hopeful, feeling mortal, wanting to pray to some deity........I feel these are the emotions Maria and the band hope to elicit from the audience.........I believe these are EXACTLY the sounds made by pre-Christian pagan Norse priests, shaman and warriors...............
It was absolutely amazeballs to see live. This doesn't even come CLOSE to doing it justice. The vocals all came through clear and crisp and the drum hits - amplified by the sound system - literally washed over you with power. Several parts of the performance were just absolutely mind-blowing. It was truly an experience!
I was there and it was absolutely breathtaking live. Being zoomed in with the video, you miss the ambience and other energy and visuals. I promise you it was superb. The audio quality isn't the best in this video so it comes across less intense.
It feels to me more subdued and a tiny bit slower than the version on the album, might be some audio issues to as the backup singers are much louder and sometimes you can barely hear Maria singing the low parts. I also thought that there would be warriors in this song shouting along to the rhythm near the end like on the album version, I suppose that makes things more complicated lol. This was also the first time they played this song live, on later versions Kai uses his gruff voice instead of speaking his part like in this one, which I think sounds better. They are also missing a backup singer here, who plays another tagelharpa and adds vocals.
I was so mesmerized when I saw them during this moment in Toronto. I felt as though I could remain in this moment for eternity.
It will never not be weird to me to see Heilung perform in front of a seated crowd

It will never not be weird to me that people need to scream like maniacs at their performance.... 😅
We were there in the 4th row!!! OMG what a wonderful show!! And to think WE were the first ones to see this live!!!!
wow, she actually hit that note at 3:08 , i was wondering how that would be live, sure the back ups help out, but Maria killing it!
Not really a hard note to hit, especially for Maria!
saw them live in september and i will just say this.. .. her vocals blew me away.. absolute talent
in" in maidjan" you can see what her vocal could do its what bound my souls to this forever

The all time best song from Heilung! It echo's in my head days on end! (In a good way). It just calls to your soul and your very existence. Weird.
My husband and I was there also! We sat near the sound guy in the mid section! Awesome show and can’t wait to see them again!
best music show i have ever witnessed in my life was by Heilung!! Ms. Shireen nailed this song BTW!!

I was there! What a transformative experience!
This is a rare version of this song. They changed the choreography partway into the US tour, a few venues after this one.
I really enjoy this one, it feels slower
@@atnasingetnamn2887 Not Maria or the Shaman. Fill in performers. Nowhere as good!
It's the very first one!
@@zzyzx911probably because it is really hard to sing live

TEARS... I am sinking!
I so badly wish I could have been there! Waited too long to buy tickets
Likewise!!! I wouldve loved the experience of a ritual!
I knooooow. What the hell was I waiting for??
Thank you for sharing this! I fell in love with this song and to see it come alive just adds to the energy!
The more I delve after these few years this band brings it to the forefront

I was there! First Heilung concert for us. Wish we had been allowed to film but so glad you were able to 😊
seen Heilung few years back... With new songs I feel I need to witness this track live!!!
Reminds me of Fever Ray / the Knife with less spandex.
I was there god was this amazing. First time I think it was performed live
Yes, first time ever live performance of Anoana!

Thank for the close ups

I was in the 5th row!
You gotta love the people who say " but it's a ritual" while eating a burger in McDonald's..
Blessings.

Die Tonqualität ist nix. Die Band ist einfach Mega
Ребята, снимайте лучше клипы, потому что это какой трындах...
this Performance seems to be pretty tired. Love the Band and the new Album, but this transports No Energy...

Agreed I'd have been disappointed at this venue.
Could be sound system. Personally I think their earlier concerts better and their missing Johan, too many female backing Castlefests best I've seen.
Looks like know one show up there where all there African Americans fans at sent the city of Atlanta is 99 percent black 😂 😂 😂
what are you even trying to say
Punctuation is a thing for a reason.
